I've not seen bread fortified with C as the little not destroyed by baking would add an acid flavour, which is why it would also not be used to supplement milk. Scurvy is rather unpleasant and of course can be fatal. Vitamin K is also going to be absent as I've never seen milk or bread fortified with either K1 or K2, and it's essential for proper blood clotting among other things. Green leafy vegetables are the best source of K1. Guess what a good source of K2 is? .... ... Yes, it's bacon. I hope the bread is whole-grain... gotta have your fibre. :^) ID: 2087009 · Reply Quote

A friend told me about this and I didn't believe him. I sure as heck hope that congress doesn't even consider this possibility.
