Meanwhile here in the UK, the Government response is going for broke hoping that 'tactical' use of our health service will allow "Business as Usual" to fully resume. Meanwhile, all the non-vaccinated people are to be sacrificed to take their chances.

The results?

We have rapidly gone from sub-1000 new cases per day to now rocketing above 35000+ cases per day. The number of new cases is doubling every 6 days (which is what "exponential" means). If this trend continues, that suggests 70k next weekend and 150k new cases and onwards in two weeks time...

Our Government has been teasing out various propaganda over the last week to prime people to expect over 100k new cases per day. Reporting of the numbers is being discouraged so as not to 'scare' people.


This is quite the deadly experiment of the century.

And this is all a totally unknown experiment, unplanned, "out in the wild", with the general population as the experiment guinea pigs to see what long term disabilities are suffered and what new coronavirus variants are generated.


My own personal observations suggest that the only metric that our Government is working to, is purely how the newspapers report whether the NHS has enough beds to accommodate the hospitalized coronavirus victims. (Meanwhile, other patients die due to delayed operations and delayed diagnosis and delayed treatments for all other ailments...)

In addition to that, the (English) UK government has decided that full 'double jab plus waiting time' vaccination won't protect the general public until the middle of August.

But the same vaccination protocol will protect NHS staff next week. So medical staff will be expected to work in places like hospitals - attending to the vulnerable and the already-infected - while everyone else is forced to isolate and await the outcome of a potential infection.

So, key medical workers will be expected to work while potentially infectious, and:
either (a) - if infectious, infect their patients
or (b) - if not infectious, catch the virus from their patients.

And for that catch-22, they're being offered danger money of a 1% pay rise year-on-year.

Actually there's a couple of errors there with that statement.

Firstly it was a Limousine Driver and not your average everyday cabbie (there's a big difference in pay grade) that kicked the outbreak off and secondly there are 63 infected people in hospital in this state of New South Wales, but that also includes some people that have returned from overseas, and of those 18 are in ICU and of those 4 are being ventilated (there was also 1 death).

Country wide there are 124 hospitalisations with 20 of them in ICU with no others being ventilated, but in the Northern Territory and Queensland all cases are hospitalised whether they need it or not.

ATM the limo driver's outbreak presently numbers 790 infections along with 1 death. It also shows the difference in the handling of outbreaks here where those states run by the left will lockdown immediately now to crush an outbreak while in this state of N.S.W. which is run by the right is more worried about the books than the people so only has a pretty soft lockdown compared to the other states' responses. :-(

I hope that that sets things straight there. ;-)
