I am sick and tired of some information being discredited simply because Faux Entertainment happened to be the quoted source.
Yep, sick and tired of the entertainment pap.

This is an example of why the Coronavirus-SARS2 is so deadly successful at causing the ongoing deadly pandemic:

Covid: Four more cases of Brazil variant found in England
wrote:
Four further cases of the Covid variant of concern first found in Brazil have been identified in England, bringing the total in the UK to 10.

Three cases of the P.1 variant are in South Gloucestershire and are said to be close or household contacts of the two existing cases in the area.

The other new case was identified in Bradford.

Scientists previously said the variant appears more contagious and there were concerns over its response to vaccines.

But Dr Susan Hopkins from Public Health England said last week it was hoped that vaccines would have a strong impact on reducing hospitalisations and deaths in cases of the new variant.

The new Bradford case tested positive for Covid-19 in late February after travelling back from Brazil via Paris on 14 February. Subsequent genomic sequencing identified the case as the P.1 variant...

... The new South Gloucestershire cases were uncovered when people were offered testing in response to the initial cases found in the area last month...

... There will be more variants out there that have not been detected, but given that overall Covid infection levels are lower than when the variant was first discovered we can be confident it is not taking hold. Monitoring this though is crucial to help the UK decide if vaccines updates are needed ahead of next winter...

Note that we are now 11 days into this month...

Also note that those heavily infected don't notice any symptoms for themselves for nearly a week. There are also possibly one in three people that are infected and continually spread the virus and for themselves, they never notice any symptoms.

Chasing the COVID-19 infection is always days behind COVID having already been spread further and wider.

Not good news on the vaccine front.......
Denmark suspends use of AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine following reports of blood clots.

Norway has followed suit, temporarily suspending the use of AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine.

From the same article:

...The EMA in its release also noted that the number of thromboembolic events in vaccinated people "is no higher than the number seen in the general population."

"As of 10 March 2021, 30 cases of thromboembolic events had been reported among close to 5 million people vaccinated with COVID-19 Vaccine AstraZeneca in the European Economic Area," it said....

The jury is still out but the risks seem to be a non plus and not worth causing panic about.

I had the AstraZeneca shot this Tuesday and haven't yet experienced any symptoms or grown a third arm. Just a slight soreness which is going away where the jab was given.

An interesting reaction from the authorities in Denmark & Norway - and a short review by a number of people on the ground, or directly involved in the study of the (adverse) impacts of vaccines:

As ever there is a lot more behind the news than the headlines would suggest.

I agree.........
It is not reasonable to associate deaths with the vaccinations when the statistics indicate that those deaths almost certainly would have occured under normal conditions in the unvaccinated population.
And this certainly appears to currently be the case for non-COVID deaths which by circumstance happened after an individual got the vaccination. I have no doubt there is little chance of the vaccine causing the deaths.

Same goes for the following, which I consider a 'non-story', unless somehow they can prove a direct link between the vaccination and the death. Which I find highly unlikely.
Utah mother dies four days after taking second COVID-19 vaccine dose.

What deadly political recklessness is this?

Meanwhile, even without such outright recklessness, this is not looking good:

Coronavirus infections levelling off in some of UK
wrote:
... The figures for the week up to 6 March suggest new cases continue to fall in England and Wales, but not in Northern Ireland and Scotland...

... It is too soon to predict, from these statistics, what effect the reopening of schools might have on infection rates going forward...

... There are "early signs" of a possible increase in the percentage of people testing positive in the South East and South West of England...

To my humble uneducated view, that does not look good. The "levelling off" is happening too soon and at too high a number of cases still.

So, ok, politically we avoid overwhelming our hospitals and get the economy moving sooner.

However, for a very big however, there is a deadly dangerous race between vaccination and the warmer dryer weather of summer subduing the Coronavirus vs the early increase in people spreading the virus as the 'lockdown' is eased.

A fourth deadly wave will completely undo any hoped for gains from opening up too early...

This is the EXACT scenario that I have suspected all along concerning the origin of the COVID virus.
And if proven beyond a doubt to be true, China should pay dearly for their deception and coverup.

Former top State Dept investigator says COVID-19 outbreak may have resulted from bioweapons research accident.

"The Wuhan Institute of Virology is not the National Institute of Health," David Asher, now a senior fellow at the Hudson Institute told Fox News in an exclusive interview. "It was operating a secret, classified program. In my view, and I’m just one person, my view is it was a biological weapons program."

At the end of the last reporting period the world's case total had passed 119,597,200 while deaths passed 2,650,800. :-(

In the top 30 of the death list Czechia leapt up to 20th place after passing Belgium and Canada and now for the latest movements on the case list.

New Zealand got demoted down to 176th by Burundi, Jamaica jumped over Sudan and Australia to claim 112th while the Ivory Coast leapt over Zimbabwe and Senegal to land in 107th, Cameroon jumped over Cyprus and Uganda to take up 104th as Namibia took 103rd after passing Uganda, Estonia nudged Uzbekistan from 92nd and Sri Lanka jump over Kyrgyzstan and Ghana to claim 87th with Kyrgyzstan following to take over 88th.

Albania knocked Algeria from 80th, Libya and Bosnia/Herzegovina passed Myanmar to claim 76th and 77th respectively as Paraguay flew over Honduras and Armenia to land in 68th, Palestine knocked Lithuania from 62nd while Bulgaria leapt over Georgia and Nepal to take over 48th, Hungary chewed up Austria along with Morocco to move into 35th, Israel blew Portugal out of 25th and Brazil gave India the boot from 2nd place.

Well that's it for today's update.

... "In my view, and I’m just one person, my view is it was a biological weapons program."

That has long ago been debunked as one of the many 'conspiracy theories'.

China has certainly been deadly lax in maintaining sanitary conditions in the 'wet' markets there. Also, there was certainly delay and reluctance in admitting to the rest of the world that there were any 'problems'.

However, this pandemic has a very natural origin.

The rest of the unfolding deadly fiasco has been the deadly selfish game of politics.

The maskless supposed bleach swigging Trump has been just one of the more deadly players in that deadly game. Deadly incredible.

Real or fake is not the issue. What is, is the indisputable fact that Covid is out there & killing people.
With over 500,000 deaths so far, many of those could have been prevented.
Instead what did the world see?
A leader joking about using bleach.
Sorry the only joke on display lasted from January 20 2017 to January 19 2021.

For one area of positive dedicated brilliance:

Covid-19: How did Saxmundham end up as the 'most-vaccinated' area?
wrote:
The most-vaccinated area of England lies in a small corner of Suffolk. How...?

... Of the roughly 8,000 people living in the area - referred to as Saxmundham and Coldfair Green in the NHS England data tables - 66% have been vaccinated, nearly twice the 38% national average...

... The success, they say, is all down to the local GP surgery, and one doctor in particular: Dr Havard...

... They both received their first dose of the vaccine on the first weekend it was available in Saxmundham. "We were very lucky," she says. "You can't fault it, it is absolutely brilliant. "I think the care [from] the Saxmundham doctors and the volunteers has been exceptional. It has been really, really good."...

... 'Not one person failed to turn up'...

... "It's the administration team," he says. "They've been working from home to organise everything and the volunteers have been absolutely amazing. "People have been phoning up to say 'can we help?'. It's been a real community effort to make it work...

... "When I think back to the first snowy day, I'm sure a lot ... thought 'first snow of the season, I'm not going in for that'. "But yet they didn't, they said, 'where are my wellies?'. Not one [person] failed to turn up. Just stunning."...

... "It's amazing how quickly everyone is being vaccinated, our NHS is amazing. "The streets have been really quiet for the last few months so it will be nice to see the hustle and bustle of the town again."...

... "Hopefully, the full rollout will be here and what an achievement that will be if we can do 100% or close to 100% of the Sax population."

FANTASTIC for what can be done.

I know a judge who works in the Court of Protection, and he says such cases are among the hardest that they have to consider. It's bad when the family is agree over what they perceive to be the "right course", but disagree with the medical team or medical science, but it is far worse when the family don't agree between themselves as, no matter what the decision is, he knows he is going to split a family. Not a job I would want.

Very valid point but one I understood Rob.
It is still a dangerous precedent. The problem is that too often lately, too many people are forgetting the errors of the recent past.
I can still recall the Cleveland fiasco & the baby P tragedy.
It is not the fault of the courts, but one of useless muppets sticking their oars in mud rather than water.
As we have seen quite regularly, "we're truly sorry & extensive changes have been made".
I call that sheer B/S.
Dead is forever.

With all the hullabaloo 5 years ago, I doubt anyone in the UK would have dreamed of ever seeing this:
"Boris Johnson's Brexit-focused government prefers to go it alone? More fool them," was the sentiment of many in the EU.
But fast forward to late February and take a look at the front-page headline of Germany's popular Bild newspaper. In a mixture of German and English and with the union flag as a backdrop, it reads in bold print: Liebe Britain, We Beneiden You ( Dear Britain, we envy you).
Europe in trouble
This from a country with the famously level-headed scientist Angela Merkel at its helm and which, at the start of the pandemic, seemed to lead the way in how to deal with the virus effectively.
UK population - 36% vaccinated.
German population - 10% vaccinated.
So much for being level headed.
