Question for our Australian members. Is the rat problem around major Australian population centers as bad as some You tube reports have claimed or are they being widely over reported for sensationalism? Question for our Australian members. Is the rat problem around major Australian population centers as bad as some You tube reports have claimed or are they being widely over reported for sensationalism?I don't know about any rat problems around here, but we have been certainly going through another mouse plague here for the last 4 or so months. Mouse expert’s prediction for Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Thankfully the little buggers have left here since the negative temps have hit (either that or the baits and traps worked). |

Maybe they were referred to as mice but the report made the problem appear so serious. Something to do with bumper crops last growing season. Bob DeWoody My motto: Never do today what you can put off until tomorrow as it may not be required. This no longer applies in light of current events. |

At last, someone stands up & says "too far". Would have preferred "Enough is enough". Too many ismists out there with hidden agendas. Definitely went too far Show a teenager who never said or did anything wrong & you'll see a liar stand before you. |

... Show a teenager ... Yep, we need to allow people to have a chance to grow and to grow up without intrusive scrutiny... And instead, we now have the lifelong embarrassment and ever more misused source that is: Social Media... Just wait until Marketing and others get hold of all our medical records from cradle to (an untimely?) grave! See: Your GP records will begin to be copied in a matter of days on the 1st July... How to opt out. That is one to consider very carefully... All for a whole new culture? If the very rich business owners can't be convinced that it is in their ultimate interest and benefit to increase the level of sharing of the company's profits with employees then it's not very likely that the gulf between the extremely wealthy and those who are barely making ends meet will ever shrink. Some businesses understand that keeping the employees happy helps everyone but in most cases this is still not the norm. People in general, especially those who are highly ambitious are just too damn greedy and the richer they get the greedier they become. They never ask "How much is enough?" And since most governments are controlled by those who are rich they tend to do little to reign in those at the top. So now and again a revolution happens and for a while the power and the money gets flipped, for a while. But the new leaders become greedy and in the end those who have little or no ambition sink back down to the bottom, not to mention the millions who get swept aside and trampled on while the revolution is happening ambitious or not. Meanwhile life goes on. Bob DeWoody My motto: Never do today what you can put off until tomorrow as it may not be required. This no longer applies in light of current events. |

The problem with democracies is that 3/4 of the population are too ignorant to make intelligent choices. Note, I didn't say they were too stupid. Ignorance is what keeps mean spirited corrupt power hungry elite in control. The ignorant masses don't have enough accurate information to make good choices when choosing their leaders. The American founding fathers knew this and as such never intended that the United States would be a true democracy. But how do you tell the masses that they are too ignorant to make intelligent decisions so they should leave things to their better informed neighbors. What makes things even worse is when people who are intelligent and informed still make stupid choices. Of course, the Foundling Fathers never intended the country to become a democracy, only about 6% had the right to vote, male land owners and tax payers. |

1 must wonder now that the biggest “sting of the century” has been completed (know as "Operation Ironside") with over 800 arrests involved across the world (just over 250 here alone), that was started off by the FBI seeking the cooperation of many foreign police forces, why has there been no Americans arrested in massive ‘sting of the century’? |

Unsure whether to put this in the Trump or the Biden threads, but eventually decided this neutral thread might be best. The poll you won't hear much about on Fox news. https://static.foxnews.com/foxnews.com/content/uploads/2021/06/Fox_June-19-22-2021_National_Topline_June-23-Release-1.pdf Do you approve or disapprove of the job Joe Biden is doing as president? |
