When some years ago, in a remote part of the globe and I was living next to the Airport, the main job of the airport was servicing the offshore oil rigs. The airport was having a new helicopter terminal built. It was to be situated North of the cables that connected the control tower to the radar site. So the airport staff marked out the route of the cables and about every 20 meters put up a sign saying "Do not dig here".

On the day the work started the backhoe operator turned up first and you know what happened.

He didn't read the notices and thought the markers were where he had to dig the first trench.

London has lost the plot!

Yet it's worked well for the very good art of Marketing!

to funny ... sitting in the pub table over tank top and mullet sitting at table with another guy casual button down and woman in well worn casual all tossing back bottles of domestic swill, mind you there are 28 taps of fine craft in front of them, but everyone has their own taste
they all look about the same age, say gen Y and the bar hostess and I are trying to figure this out
not paying too much attention but it sounds like the two guys are friends and it doesn't sound like either is dating the woman
conversation turns to one of the appetizer dishes pub serves and mullet/tank top tells the woman to get the recipe because the pub is really good better than hers and in an insulting way
I'm not paying much attention because the TV has a playoff game on but loud drunken mouths tend to travel
Next I hear a empty glass knocked over on their table and turn to find mullet/tank top grabbing on to the arm of the woman who has turned 90 degrees in the chair and looks ready to stand up.
Things stay like that and the conversation gets really weird and awkward. Finally he lets go and she goes out the front door. Mullet/tank top follows after a couple of seconds.
Mullet/Tank top comes back in after a couple of minutes with an I won tude. After a minute button down says "let me go talk to your mom."
Mullet/tank top dumps the rest of his fish and chips into a to go container and goes out after a minute.

Now just who goes out to a pub with their mom on a Sunday night to get $hitfaced and then insults her cooking?

I'm sure any of the people in Dull's photo would make a far better worker than mullet/tank top.

KAMLOOPS, British Colombia (AP) — The remains of 215 children, some as young as 3 years old, have been found buried on the site of what was once Canada’s largest Indigenous residential school — one of the institutions that held children taken from families across the nation.

From the 19th century until the 1970s, more than 150,000 First Nations children were required to attend state-funded Christian schools as part of a program to assimilate them into Canadian society. They were forced to convert to Christianity and not allowed to speak their native languages. Many were beaten and verbally abused, and up to 6,000 are said to have died.

The Kamloops school operated between 1890 and 1969, when the federal government took over operations from the Catholic Church and operated it as a day school until it closed in 1978.

With Lumber Prices Skyrocketed, certainly this Wood Sitting fO Decades would be Now Worth Quite a Load of Dough.

These 2 Bys can be Stitched(nailed/screwed/glued) together to make 'boards' of a larger 'sized' Need.

Sure Loads of Man Hours. Enterprising Souls May Make it Worthwhile and Profitable.

Heck da Steel Frames they 'Ride' on Could also be Valuable in a Build.

you are dealing with a type a person. trash is trash, has no value.

had a construction guy doing an insurance job. he was going to haul a load of aluminum to the dump and pay through the nose for the dump fee. no you aren't! haul it to the metal recycle and get a check for delivering it. he was skeptical as all get out. he did it though. price for the job went down. hope the profits for his other jobs went up.

In the UK, and no doubt in other countries, there's a fair number of empty, disused and otherwise abandoned offices. Some of these are beyond redemption and so the only way for them to go into the big crusher. But that still leaves a substantial number of buildings that with a bit of though could be brought back to use as homes for those in need of homes. But then the bureaucrats get in the way and such concepts go out of the window :-(
