...and of course boats with masts are known as stickies in some coastal communities heavily populated with boats with engines. btw - there is no need to put quotes around a slang word, indeed the rules don't allow them. Yet again people are over using hyphens to produce words, for example "Rolls Royce" is NOT hyphenated, but TWO wards, the surnames of the two founders of the company. Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

I do have to agree with the hyphen. Even the Rolls-Royce official website has it hyphenated.

Yes, I did drop the balls on the hyphenation of Rolls-Royce. But the message about the use of hyphenation bing overused remains. Please, as W-K 666 suggests, do a check, and then think about using one of the two words instead of both of them. I was sorely tempted when I saw the post Ford to add F-150. But I think there would a moderater problem possibly. So I will post it here with a explanation. Ford - F-150  The most popular Ford pickup over here.
