The last straw for me was when he compared the government to Nazi Germany.
I had to laugh at him when Leicester won the league.

He went from Leicester to Spurs where he succeeded & very well at that.
Not only has he insulted the greatest generation but the history of Spurs.
Walter Tull, one of the first black men to play professional football gave up his career to fight on the Western Front.
He attained the rank of Captain & his men trusted & respected him.
Sadly he lost his life as did many other players.

The SNP are really in the brown aromatic stuff, their party treasurer has been arrested and has now resigned, all over a lump of donations allegedly being misappropriated. While 600k sounds small bait to some, for the SNP it's a substantial amount of their cash in hand, but it was meant to have been spent on a specific campaign, but got syphoned off into some other places.

While I have some sympathy for the UK civilians in Khartoum, one has to ask why, at least, their families were still there.
There wer plenty of signs there was going to be trouble before the major eruption of violence on the 15th April, there had been nearly 50 political violence events with over 60 deaths reported in the period 11th March to the 7th April.
It is also a city which in troubled times not too easy to move around, it is the junction of two large rivers, the White and Blue Nile with only a few bridges joining to major parts, Khartoum, Khartoum and Omdurman. And as we all know the international airports are always one of the first parts that are fought over. In also happened in Ukraine.

And how many forces personnel and aircraft* would have been needed to rescue 4,000 people. Was it ever really on to expect, the very limited size of, the UK Armed Forces to pull off such a move.

They wouldn't accept my Keighley and Worth Valley Railway local resident's photocard, but did accept what I called my 'Gordon Brown' pensioners free bus pass.

Gerrymandering with a side serving of ageism - young people's travel cards aren't accepted.

That's been a problem up & down the country.
ID anger

Valid ID includes passports, driving licences, older or disabled person's bus passes, and Oyster 60+ cards. Out-of-date ID is permitted as long as the person looks the same.

So those with no passport, driving license & under retirement age are screwed.
Back door way of getting ID cards out there?

The photograph in my passport is a horrible, greyed-out, digital representation of a photograph taken in an expensive, automated, 'Photo-Me' style booth nine years ago. There was no human check that the photograph I was submitting was an actual image of the person applying for the passport. My parting words to the dreaded machine, as it wished me a quick return, were "Not for another 10 years, if I can help it." Much to the amusement of the adjacent Post Office queue.

The photograph on my 'Gordon Brown' pass is far more secure: it was taken, using a webcam, by the PTA worker who checked my age, identity, and residence documents. It was totally free, very quick and easy - and a damn sight better likeness!

Now the Tories have lost a net 1,038 seats - more than their worst case prediction. Are there are still eight councils to declare ...
