And there are many other Pink Floyd songs with comments about the 'establishment'

The start of today's PMQs sounded like a very British version of January 6 - with two members escorted from the chamber by the Serjeant-at-Arms.

Thankfully, without guns.

This just goes to demonstrate how well organised the EU really is. Imagine the fuss that would be created if the UK was to stop recognising say a French Blue Badge......

On the other hand, I have some sympathy. During Brexit, it was "us, us, us". We showed very little respect or understanding for who, and what, lay on the other side of our precious little border.

Basically, we just kicked sand in their faces.

We'd be the same if anyone did that to us.

I have no sympathy for the EU.
Used to travel regularly to Europe for both work & pleasure.
Only occasionally did I experience issues with most European countries, but did so every time with the French.
British vehicle, British accent - Oh dear.
Attitude changed on presenting my passport - A lovely green hardback with a Gold Harp on the front. :-)
The French have hated the British for too long.
I thought the whole idea of the EU was to dispel all that.

No, they're still working out what the final bill will be.

Now why is it that right wing pollies are always attacking unions?

UK PM hopeful Truss takes aim at trade unions in leadership contest.

Is it that regard workers as nothing more than serfs?

No wonder the country is in the crapper.
No qualified accountants employed?
5x67 + 1x66=401.

However, 5x66+1x70=400.

Households will see a discount of £66 applied to their energy bills in October and November, and £67 a month from December to March 2023.
That's 2 x £66 and 4 x £67.

You beat me to it.
It did state at 1st 5x67 & 1x66. However, it has now changed.
What with the fake news & misinformation out there, it would be nice for reporters to check their reports before publishing.
Edit.

Just checked my spreadsheet.
Topped up the meter on 25/7 & topped up the key this morning which should run out 18/10.
So that's me covered for the 6 months after that. :-)
As for gas, that should run out some time Aug next year. :-)

In the debate on Sky TV debate on Thursday night, during which Rishi Sunak said his record showed he was committed to helping the poorest in society.

In contrast to https://twitter.com/i/events/1555478657430441984 where he boasted of
taking money from “deprived urban areas” to help wealthy towns

The wider point here is that at a time of war, the international price of energy is forcing a massive transfer of wealth from every household to energy producers in the private sector, and those owned by foreign governments.
The chicken has come home to roost
The benefit scroungers in Westminster don't care, the taxpayer will still fund their lifestyle.

Okay, I've stopped chuckling enough to recall a memory.
Over 50 years ago during a history class, I was caught slumbering. Didn't really want to know about some guy dead for 500 years.
Got asked a question.
Blurted out...
..."Dick the s**t.
Oops, I meant...
...Richard the t*rd.
Oops, sorry meant Richard the Third".
Teacher was not amused but did give a sly smile.
Boris the Third
You gotta love the Fringe. :-)

The lesser of two evils.
Personally, much better her than Sunak.
