Donald Trump's wealth takes tumble during presidency
Donald Trump's net worth dropped by about $700m to $2.3bn (£1.65bn) during his time as president, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

The Covid-19 pandemic hit his fortunes hard, with Mr Trump's office buildings, branded hotels and resorts losing revenue and falling in value.

His fleet of planes and golf courses have also seen drops in their value.

Mr Trump is currently under a criminal investigation into his financial affairs and his family business.

Those numbers and costs are just incredible. All 'just a game' with other people's lives?

Sounds like a very apt description of religion, be it mainstream or cult. The simple no thought needed explanation. The promise of unimaginable pleasure. The repetition of a mantra. The exclusion of all else. The lye washing of the brain. A conspiracy cabal or even a single secret actor.

The people who fall for these are the people who can't handle the truth.

This night on the restaurant patio a pair of well imbibing GOPer types telling each other how Covid doesn't exist and it is a power grab by the democrats. Saying how the raise in Covid deaths exactly matches the drop in all other deaths*. They feed each other the policy of the conspiracy theory creator. They echo chamber the falsehood. They convince each other they know more than the ignorant masses. Yes it is a religion.

*It doesn't. https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fullarticle/2774445

Religion or cult?

What is the difference?

Both are blood (money) sucking frauds that don't pay taxes while accumulating wealth for themselves from the gullible while themselves committing many crimes (child abuse to name just 1). :-O

I'm sorry if some don't agree with me, but the facts are the facts, and the world would be much better off without either. ;-)

What?!! We'd be better off without either of "the facts ... the facts"?!

Oh... You mean the either of: "Religion or cult"...

Unfortunately, we will always need some sort of choice of religions for those who 'seek or require guidance' for how to live for themselves.

We just need somewhat less corruption and more mutually beneficial cooperation.

Unfortunately, the facts are usually very different to what those in control of the various religions claim to preach...

Trump's deadly cruel duplicity about COVID is just one of many examples.

Covid-19 leaflets: How pandemic disinformation went offline

One section promoted the debunked theory that the vaccine could alter the recipient's genetic code, or DNA. Another discredited idea put forward in the video was that micro-particles within the vaccine are able to collect and transmit biometric data.

"I was appalled at the whole thing," says Mr Crane. "Many of my neighbours are in their 80s, and could easily be discouraged from taking the vaccine if they saw this off-the-wall material." ...

You know it makes sense to be an anti-Trump atheist, as opposed to an Evangelical Trump supporter, when you see that he is going to need funds for his own social media platform and preachers need funds for their $5,000 sneakers and $3,500 Gucci jackets.

It decreases your weekly spending.

Trump Dumped: Luxury Travel Agency Quietly Drops Former President’s Hotels
Without announcement, Virtuoso Travel no longer carries Trump-branded accommodations.

A major booking agency catering to the luxury travel market has dropped all Trump-branded hotels and resorts from its elite services.

Virtuoso Travel didn’t publicly announce its change in policy, which affects all 10 hotels and resorts operated by the former U.S. president’s company. The change occurred the week of March 8.

“As of March 8, 2021, Trump Hotels are no longer part of the Virtuoso network,” said Misty Ewing Belles, managing director of global public relations for the agency. Belles did not comment on why the decision was reached.

Trump hotels were still listed on the Virtuoso website on March 9, but have since been removed.

“Virtuoso considers many variables when reviewing both existing and new network participation. Out of respect for all involved parties, and as a general policy, we do not share comments regarding our non-renewal and exit decisions,” Belles said.

The decision came 60 days after Americans watched a mob of rioters attack the U.S. Capitol in Washington, with some of them saying Trump inspired them.

And so it begins...

Biden: Georgia voting restriction law is 'atrocity'
wrote:
US President Joe Biden has likened a new voting law in the state of Georgia to racist policies of the 20th Century US South, calling it an "atrocity".

The law adds restrictions to voting that Mr Biden said disproportionately targeted black Americans. Republicans say they are streamlining voting procedures and trying to restore confidence in the election system.

The president called the law "Jim Crow in the 21st Century" and "a blatant attack on the Constitution".

Jim Crow refers to the 19th and 20th Century laws that enforced racial segregation in the South...

So, really?...

"Streamline the voting" by first checking/restricting the voters so that the voting will be for one party only?...

I guess that eases the need for doing any counting!
