Scott Hall appeared Friday in court for what Judge Scott McAfee said was a "negotiated resolution."

The arrangement marks the first plea deal in the case.

As part of the deal, Hall pleaded guilty to five misdemeanor counts of conspiracy to commit intentional interference with performance of election duties.

He will get probation and has agreed to testify moving forward, including at the trial of other co-defendants.

I'm not sure what that sort of behaviour is classed as in the US, but over here it would be subject to consideration (by the trial judge) as a contempt of court. What happens is wide ranging, from the person being held in contempt being summoned by the judge to a public rebuke, to their lawyers being called forward "to the bench" and told that the defendant is in danger of being held in contempt and do your utmost to control their behaviour, to a fine, or imprisonment (up to 2 years, with no chance of parole unless the act of contempt is "discharged"). The trail can continue while the defendant (meaning the person who committed the contempt) is in prison - obviously they are transported to & from the prison to attend court as required by the judge).
