I read somewhere that while Trump and the 18 co-defendants are "booked in jail" that is they are required to voluntarily appear there by the due date for the collection of personal information, mugshot, and arraignment, where they can plead guilty or not guilty. However, this does not mean that they have to stay in jail afterwards, but will probably remain at large.

tRump family crime syndicate list of charges.
Thanks for the link.

The interesting thing about this indictment is that wealthy people are usually charged with white-collar crimes (tax evasion, corruption, complex deals). The facts of the case are usually extremely complicated. Few, experienced, clever and highly paid lawyers even fully understand the issue. The public prosecutor's office then finds it extremely difficult to set up a competent team around the public prosecutor who is intellectually and knowledgeably equal to the lawyers of the influential and wealthy accused.

It's different here. The facts of the case are simple and any legal layperson can understand them. Accordingly, there is sufficient verifiable and undeniable evidence. Everything can be written down clearly in a few pages. The expensive and clever lawyers will hardly be able to bring any advantage when the alleged facts are so simple.

Just one consequence to fight back against an age old game of ignorance, bullying, and people control?...

‘Knowledge is power’: new app helps US teens read books banned in school
wrote:
Digital Public Public Library fights back against rightwing censorship...

... At home, the book helped Saffy feel comfortable and confident...

... But at school, Gender Queer was banned.

For the past two years, book banning has been on the rise in schools and libraries across the US, mainly due to far-right pressure. The bans are pushed either by local actors, like anxious parents and parent-led groups or by politicians through broader state-level laws. A recent PEN America study found that the bans were most prevalent this year in Florida, Texas, Utah, Missouri and South Carolina...

... “Saying ‘Just to go to the library’ is no longer a stable alternative to having these books in schools,” Jen said. “Some kids don’t have supportive parents or live near public transport. The DPLA has created a resource that will benefit so many.”

“These books aren’t just for kids who are queer,” Jen added, “there as much for those who aren’t, to teach them empathy. It’s insidious that the state is telling children who they should or shouldn’t be.”

The nationwide fight over what is appropriate for children to read is happening in tandem with a broader legislative push to restrict the teaching of topics such as racism and sexuality in schools...

... For Jen and her family, it’s a different story. Their situation in Florida, especially with queer children, has become unimaginable.

“If I had the money, I would absolutely relocate us to another state in a heartbeat,”...

Yet there is also this very nasty side at play:

Kansas paper raid shines light on rising anti-media rhetoric in US
wrote:
Incident charts a disturbing spike in intimidation and violence toward journalists following hateful bombast from politicians

When police raided the office of a Kansas newspaper last week and tore through the homes of its reporters, Donald Trump’s oft-heard refrain that the US media is “the enemy of the people” might not have been uppermost in the officers’ minds.

But an invasion that was likened to “Hitler tactics” by the newspaper’s co-owner, who subsequently died, and a wave of other recent attacks on journalists and media outlets across America, can be directly tied to the enmity whipped up by the former president and his ilk...

All aboard for a very slippery slide?...

Stay safe folks!

While Donny keeps up his hate filled attacks on people.

'She is bad for America!': Trump flips out on Fani Willis as jail appearance looms.

Will the red line finally be crossed and Donny's foul hate filled mouth get him into the slammer?

Trump attacks on judges are ‘crossing the line’. Will he be punished?

Anyone else would already be in jail. Mind you 1 of his lawyers has a bigger problem on his hands.

One indicted Trump lawyer's defense just got 'so much harder': Ex-prosecutor.

This week is certainly going to test the delusionally crooked Donny.

I wonder if they'll make him take those pumped heel shoes of his off before taking the mug shot in front of the height scale.

Probably he needs to be asking for orange suit fitting measurements, as the evidence mounts. Mar-a-Lago IT manager implicates Trump in classified files case

Yuscil Taveras, an IT director identified as Trump Employee 4 in legal documents, changed his testimony after switching lawyers, say prosecutors.
He now accuses Mr Trump and two aides of "efforts to delete security camera footage", says the filing.

All the losers are lining up for their pics, but it's a shame that no height scale is being used, just waiting for the king of all losers to have his posted.

They took his measurements, so presumably they now have an orange suit of the correct size waiting for him.

Actually they didn't, those are what Donny told them they are, and they took his words for it. :-(

Donny just can't help himself.

Trump launches overnight attack on Jack Smith for making him 'look as bad as possible'.

Lock him up! Like this 1 who didn't leave Fulton County Jail.

Trump co-defendant denied bond, held in jail.

And talk about MAGA RINO GOP moronic stupidity.

Vivek Ramaswamy floats Elon Musk as a potential White House advisor if he wins the 2024 presidential election.

Surely you can do better than having these moronic idiots represent you.

Donny and his mob of traitors will be in for an interesting day as they continue their ways to cheat the system while encouraging hate and violence to be done.

Drama unfolds on two fronts Monday as Trump cases enter new phase.

Trumpworld in Chaos! Allies Are Desperate To Derail the Georgia Case With Shock Legal Moves for Pardon.

Prosecutors and judge involved in Trump indictments see number of threats.

Meanwhile there's another problem that's needs fixing and that's to stop red states from bludging on the blues just to support their xenophobic mighty white ways.

Why are red state 'welfare queen' oligarchs allowed to mooch off of blue states?

America is rapidly bifurcating — becoming two nations — and one of the main drivers of the process is a federal system that encourages Red states to mooch off Blue states, using essentially stolen tax money to reinvent the old Confederacy, “own the libs,” and wage “war on woke.”

Most Red states have become oligarchic white supremacist medieval-like fiefdoms with obscene levels of often multigenerational wealth at the top, extreme poverty at the bottom, and working people, women, and minorities kept in subordinate roles through explicit government and corporate policy.

In this, these Red states are following the once-classic European and later Southern US tradition of a patriarchal, hierarchical society run by male kings, nobles, plantation masters, and wealthy churchmen, with all the work done by serfs, slaves, women, or impoverished wage-slaves.......

While Donny is finally keeping his foul hate filled mouth under control (so far) N.Y.'s AG makes a revelation (though that's not news to me).

Trump fraudulently inflated his net worth by billions of dollars.

Then there's Donny's drunken little buddy Rudolf and his problems.

Jack Smith's team questions witnesses about how drunk Rudy Giuliani was while advising Trump.

Giuliani Is Found Liable for Defaming Georgia Poll Workers.

While slimy little Pete makes a fool of himself outside of courthouse (what a loser).

Navarro Tries, Fails to Grab Protester's Sign in Middle of Press Conference.

Then there's poor old Mitch caught yet again mid lock up.

McConnell freezes up at news conference — 2nd time in last month.

He maybe lucky just to see 2026 and then there's the Mad Abbott of Texas showing that he can be a loser too.

A Texas judge has declared unconstitutional a law championed by Gov. Greg Abbott that limits the power of Democrat-led cities.

Maybe someone can get him working outside all day without a water break.

Gerontocracy was the hallmark of the Soviet Union's autocratic leadership in the 1970s and early 1980s. The powerful did not pass on their power even in old age. Those who followed feared the power of the superiors as long as they lived. In democratic societies, competition for mandates should ensure that the powerful retire in good time before advancing age dulls their senses. Why has this changed in the USA over the last few decades? Presidents, Senators, Supreme Court Justices, ...

As delusional Donny and his mob of crooks plead not guilty in Georgia his lawyer lets slip.

Alina Habba’s slip about Trump – “He doesn’t do… what’s right”.

....Habba continued, “I think that they’re trying to make a name for themselves. Unfortunately, politicians are, you know, elected officials. Elected officials have to do what’s popular and sometimes not what’s right, and that’s a problem. That’s, I think, why people get nervous with Trump. He doesn’t do what’s popular or what’s right.”....
And then there's this school of thought.

MSNBC panel predicts Trump may throw his "idiot" sons "under the bus" in $250 million NY AG lawsuit.

Meanwhile there's 1 "real" Republican who can do the right thing no matter what threats Donny throws at him.

Georgia to decide if fake Trump elector should be suspended from Senate.
