While the sound deadening at Mar-a-Lago (if there is any) hasn't stopped others from hearing Donny scream at his TV over the last 2 days as he views his 2nd impeachment trial, and the poor job that his legal team is doing, and apparently the sounds of his screaming went up several more decibels when he learnt that Georgia prosecutors have opened a criminal probe into his "criminal solicitation to commit election fraud". As many of those who are before the courts for the January 6th riots are blaming Donny for doing what they've done, nearly 60 percent of those people facing charges related to the Capitol riot showed signs of prior money troubles, including bankruptcies, notices of eviction or foreclosure, bad debts, or unpaid taxes over the past two decades so they're all very "Trump" like in that respect. Even Donny's real-estate partner, Steven Roth (of Vornado Realty Trust), is also reportedly considering buying out Donny's 30% stake in 2 Trump Towers because of bad business at both properties in association with the "Trump" name. Vornado acquired 70% of the towers in 2007. Meanwhile Sidney Powell has finished being on the run as Dominion has ultimately tracked down the Texas-based attorney in North Carolina and apparently they called in local police as witnesses when Powell was served paperwork to attend court. Anyhow, Donny isn't going far if he decides to make a run for it as his 747-200B (N757AF) is still sitting at an airport in New York state while missing 1 engine which likely explains why 2 of his Sikorsky helicopters are up for sale so that he can replace the missing engine so that the plane can be flown to Louisiana for maintenance to get it air worthy again. |

Wiggo, thanx but it worked on my browser, but it is worthwhile anyway. It'll work on your browser, for a short time anyway, but because BBCode relies on the file type being at the end of the hyperlink it won't work for others so using the url tags is a better option. ;-) |

The picture as posted by betreger, works fine here for me on Edge Chromium, clearly visible as a normal picture on the board.Well Edge was bad enough letting M$ know everything that you're doing, but Chromium Edge not only lets M$ know what you're up to it lets Google know as well and I don't want either of them to know what I'm doing. :-O I'll just stick with Firefox thanks. ;-) |

The Lancet - Public policy and health in the Trump era This report by the Lancet Commission on Public Policy and Health in the Trump Era assesses the repercussions of President Donald Trump's health-related policies and examines the failures and social schisms that enabled his election. Trump exploited low and middle-income white people's anger over their deteriorating life prospects to mobilise racial animus and xenophobia and enlist their support for policies that benefit high-income people and corporations and threaten health. His signature legislative achievement, a trillion-dollar tax cut for corporations and high-income individuals, opened a budget hole that he used to justify cutting food subsidies and health care. His appeals to racism, nativism, and religious bigotry have emboldened white nationalists and vigilantes, and encouraged police violence and, at the end of his term in office, insurrection. He chose judges for US courts who are dismissive of affirmative action and reproductive, labour, civil, and voting rights; ordered the mass detention of immigrants in hazardous conditions; and promulgated regulations that reduce access to abortion and contraception in the USA and globally. Although his effort to repeal the Affordable Care Act failed, he weakened its coverage and increased the number of uninsured people by 2·3 million, even before the mass dislocation of the COVID-19 pandemic, and has accelerated the privatisation of government health programmes. Trump's hostility to environmental regulations has already worsened pollution—resulting in more than 22?000 extra deaths in 2019 alone—hastened global warming, and despoiled national monuments and lands sacred to Native people. Disdain for science and cuts to global health programmes and public health agencies have impeded the response to the COVID-19 pandemic, causing tens of thousands of unnecessary deaths, and imperil advances against HIV and other diseases. And Trump's bellicose trade, defence, and foreign policies have led to economic disruption and threaten an upswing in armed conflict. NYT article based on the above report; Former President Donald Trump stands accused of inciting a riot that left at least five people dead and more than 100 police officers injured. |

Trump impeachment trial – Dems rest their case with flurry of redundant, irrelevant evidence. "There is not a scintilla of evidence that Trump encouraged or advocated imminent harm." As he has repeated ad nauseam over three long days, lead manager Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., pronounced Trump guilty of "inciting an insurrection" because he employed the common political phrase "fight like hell" when he spoke to a crowd of supporters on January 6, 2021. Over and over again, Raskin resurrected the phrase while deliberately ignoring the fact that Trump urged protesters to behave "peacefully." "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting."
