Who is your Daddy?

A romantic scandal has enveloped a NSW zoo after a litter of newborn lemurs were born just two months into a captive breeding program.

A romantic scandal has enveloped a NSW zoo after a litter of newborn lemurs were born just two months into a captive breeding program.

Two black-and-white ruffed lemurs, Tsiky and Kintana, were paired at the Altina Wildlife Park in Wagga Wagga in October to boost the critically endangered species’ numbers.

But within months Kintana gave birth to triplets — two males and a female.

Tsiky is highly unlikely to be the father of the triplets, as the typical gestation period for the species is between three to four months.

Altina’s animal and operations manager Rebecca Surian admitted to news.com.au that they were “not 100 per cent sure who is the dad is”.

“We just know she has given birth well before we expected at Altina,” she said....

Cheers.

Follow up to yesterday's story, Ricardo will not become hamburger!
Ricardo the bull wakes up at animal sanctuary after escaping slaughterhouse in mad dash on NJ train tracks

The Texas Longhorn who escaped a slaughterhouse and ran through train tracks in Newark Thursday was filmed being gently woken from sedation in his new home, Skylands Animal Sanctuary and Rescue in Wantage, New Jersey.

Meet our latest hit on social media from down in Tassie, meet Neil.

Who is Neil the seal — and why is his Instagram, TikTok and Facebook fame a problem?

Cheers.

They're going all out now to save this little critter and get them off the endangered list with yet another release.

Boost for endangered White's seahorse after 100 released in Sydney Harbour tidal pool.

And we maybe onto some success with this 1.

Critically endangered Manning River turtle lays first eggs as part of conservation program.

Cheers.

I really thought that this was a female when I 1st saw the pic, the coin is 35mm wide.

Captured funnel-web breaks record as largest ever donated.

That big boy could kill a lot of people.

Stay observant, especially here down under. ;-)

Normally they'd be smaller than that coin.

In another story it looks like something may have grown a bit big on some exotic animal collector/wacko here.

‘Severe threat’: Asian black-spined toad invades Melbourne, prompting urgent response.

Isn't having cane toads here enough?

And if you plan on holiday swimming at North Queensland beaches this summer, then you'd better think again. ;-)

Tourists visiting Far North Queensland are being warned to keep an eye out for a deadly creature that is relishing a “perfect storm”.

Stay alert and safe.

Instead, that big boy will save a lot of people. (“With having a male funnel-web this size in our collection, his venom output could be enormous, proving incredibly valuable for the park’s venom program.”)

Stay observant, especially here down under. ;-)

Expensive pooch!
Cecil the dog ate $4,000 in cash. His owners recovered most of it, but they had to wait a few days.
Carrie said,
This dog, I swear to God, has never touched anything in his life. I used to go to Salem's and bring home a salad with lamb on it and leave it sitting out, and he wouldn't even touch it.

And yet, the allure of a fast buck got to the beloved pet, and he made it all a tasty snack.

Suddenly Clayton yelled to me, 'Cecil's eating $4,000!!!!!' I thought, 'I cannot be hearing that.' I almost had a heart attack.

Now you have a reason to clean up after the dog makes a deposit on a walk. Lol.
