Thought this was a better forum for it than Transportation Safety.. Alligator crawls under man’s truck at Florida red light, then shakes it from beneath “When he was probably three-quarters of the way under my box truck, I felt a little wiggle or shake from under truck,” Daniel Jay Kaufman told McClatchy News. “By this time, the light is green and no cars were in front of me. I couldn’t move because I didn’t want to hurt him under my truck. For a second, I was thinking he might stay there.” |

One Great White that was really upset by the whine of an outboard disturbing its afternoon snooze. I can't say I blame the shark as sometimes I've longed to take action against such noise generators. Rattlesnake handler dies ‘doing what he loved’ after being bitten during Texas show They have a treatment (anti-venom) for that. I think they might even have a vaccine, since they have one for dogs. Why wouldn't they have one for humans? I don't believe this guy had to die, although he may have deserved it for f*cking with rattlesnakes. ~Sue~ |

Rattlesnake handler dies ‘doing what he loved’ after being bitten during Texas show I have never liked the rattlesnake roundups. To me the whole thing is a cruel example of human behavior. https://magleyanimalhospital.com/rattlesnake-vaccine/ If rattlesnakes need to be relocated away from population centers, I can understand that, but searching out hundreds of rattlesnakes for the purpose of entertaining people and ultimately killing them for skins and food is just wrong. One interesting bit of reverse evolution has been observed in rattlesnake roundups. Rattlesnakes rattle as a means to warn away potential threats. When rattlesnake hunters are searching for them, they count on the ones that rattle to more easily catch them, but the ones that don't rattle, successfully breed, hence reducing the population that do rattle. Lost Aussie found in North Carolina. Loose emu wanders 30 miles from home before capture in North Carolina. 1 must wonder why a female emu was named Kevin though. Cheers. |

So penguins can survive when upside down. Record number of Humboldt penguin eggs laid at Manx wildlife park. .....The breeding programme saw penguins at the park pair up "year after year", however it was "not always opposite sex couples" that incubated the eggs and nurtured the chicks, Ms Graham said.Cheers. |

Lost Aussie found in North Carolina. Unfortunately, we (Americans) have adopted emus for their meat and feathers. So it most probably was not an Aussie. Kevin is a girl's name, too, although not common as such. I knew a woman named Kevin in 1973. ~Sue~ |

First great white shark sighting of season: ‘You can see the blood!’ The East Coast shark season kicked off with a bloody fang: First, a great white was filmed devouring a seal off Nantucket Sunday, marking Massachusetts’ first official sighting of the season. The following day, a fisherman spotted a massive 10-foot mako shark floundering on a beach on Long Island, New York. |

Opossum causes chaos in NYC bar — until brave Alaska woman saves day A courageous gal from up north came to the rescue of New York revelers last week after heroically “bouncing” an interloping opossum from a Brooklyn bar. A video of the impromptu animal controller’s good deed is now going viral on Instagram, and city slickers praise her varmint-handling prowess. |

... Two - TWO headed snake found on an Arizona golf course I don't know if I will be back to the response to this soon, as you know I usually go to politics. But, why? Do we ask the same question with conjoined twins? Conjoined twins existed well before the industrial revolution, I am betting. Capitalize on this good fortune, one word can bring you round ... changes. |
