We will have to replace the RAC>1 requirement with a total credit requirement. We may also have to come up with an endorsement process to allow new users.

Eric and all the others on the team: Thank you all for a great experience. SETI@home has been one of the first things I have done at all on the internet, having registered early after the doors opened back in the days. It has tought me a lot about technology, astronomy, science and society.
Thanks. Would love to see SETI@home come back some day.

As promised, we've stopped the process that puts new data into the queue today. Data distribution will continue until the files shown on the status pages are done. We'll be accepting results and resending results that didn't validate for a while.

Maybe we just misread the message.
It says: we've stopped the process that puts new data into the queue today
This is putting old (2011) data in the queue ...

And probably 1/2 a dozen toasters they never sent out!

So they hid data in those toasters....???

. . Probably a hole in the data record they wanted to tidy up. OR, you are still seeing old, old data from the replica ...

Thank you for all these memories. Was actually hoping I'd log in today and find out it was a big April Fool's joke, but unfortunately it's real. Our SETI endeavor started way back in the inception, with my dad, uncle and myself. My uncle actually got us started on this and then he passed away back in 2005. So, running SETI every minute of every day and seeing those beautiful graphics on the screen that keep our cooling fans spinning at max RPM has been a wonderful reminder of those memories with him. Although my original account was lost, this one has been crunching and eating laptops since 2011. My dad had several computers crunching in his basement and one by one they'd all nuke a powersupply or CPU. It really has been a great time, believe it or not, getting to know the intricate details of computer hardware and noting what brands to avoid with their proprietary stuff. Looking back, it was all worth every second!! :)

Again, thank you for this. To call it bittersweet is insufficient. I'm hoping that the findings will be published publicly and, if so, I will definitely be obtaining a few copies. Thank you all, take care!

Turns out, that's an odd one. My tape database (used to drive the 'SETI data distribution history' thread in NC) only has these records:

Tape First processed	Last processed	JobCount
31mr11aa	07-Jul-2011	01-Mar-2020	785
31mr11ab	22-Jun-2011	15-Oct-2015	412
31mr11ac	08-Oct-2011	31-Dec-2015	46
31mr11ag	29-Jun-2011	17-Aug-2011	727
31mr11ah	28-Jun-2011	12-Oct-2015	514
31mr11ai	04-Jul-2011	31-Mar-2020	686
What happened to d, e, and f? Still in a drawer somewhere?

It looks like the Astropulse splitter has been hung up for a day. We still have a few work units to be distributed once somebody give it a good bash.

Both the SETI@home and Astropulse splitters are running very slowly because our workunit storage is full (which is because the assimilator is running so far behind). So you may get to enjoy an occasional work unit today.
