I do have three strange WU:s

https://setiathome.berkeley.edu/workunit.php?wuid=3928607389
https://setiathome.berkeley.edu/workunit.php?wuid=3928601011
https://setiathome.berkeley.edu/workunit.php?wuid=3927339901

Deadline has been gone but they are still marked as "In progress", not timed out...

. . My guess is that they have disabled replications, so they are not timing out and not being resent. I have no idea how they will deal with such tasks.

? ?

Since the SSP is dead, it wouldn't surprise me the status hasn't been updated. They are dead.
They have validated so when the timeout is reached the task is moved to the next state and headed for delete PDQ. Of course the BG tasks on the server need to be running for that to happen. Since the SSP is down, we don't know and the SSP is one of those BG tasks.

I've been wondering, seeing that the need of the COLO's bandwidth isn't required now (nor the costs involved), if/when/or is the server kit being moved back up the hill into the lab.

Cheers.
Eric's Hydrogen survey is still active. Nebula needs the bandwidth* as the Jobs are run on Einstein@home's supercomputer. I'm pretty sure the kit is staying put for the foreseeable future.

*It may even need Internet2 bandwidth.
But not all of it is now required down there, certainly the main server and its database has to stay with maybe 1 or 2 others in support (I'm not familiar with Eric's survey, do you have a link?) and the cost of reducing the footprint down at the COLO must be enticing.

Cheers.

Well it looks like they maybe letting all them tasks still out in the wild to timeout and if so most of mine will be cleared over the next 48hrs except for 2, 1 will timeout on the 6th of July and the other on the 19th.

Cheers.

It will be interesting to see what happens tomorrow during the maintenance outage.

Hopefully the scheduler and SSP will be back online.

I would be surprised if they were deliberately disabled for nearly a week.

Well I've just 2 left to timeout by wingmen now and I have to wait until the 6th and 19th of next month for them to go.

Cheers.

. . With the servers seemingly down for the count there is no way for me to know what is happening. My machines are still showing 105 tasks hanging about all past their deadlines, but any attempt to get an update are met with "servers must be down". OH well, such is life.

@ Petri

. . Excuse me sir but is there any chance you are working your magic on a Cuda10 app for Einstein@Home ? ? ?

. . I am bursting to know ... (tired of being kicked to the kerb by machines running AMD cards ) :)

My last valid should have cleared on Jun 25, the last pending result timing out then, but of course with everything stuck as it was on Jun 16...
Was hoping I'll get to 21 years with some shred of activity left on the project, and there should have been a handful of tasks left by then, but guess not. I'll still say I've been in the project for 21 years when the day comes though...

If the database and updates were running which they haven't been for while now.

The last tasks that I was aware of have just timed out

3 tasks on here were among the last https://setiathome.berkeley.edu/results.php?hostid=8833115&offset=0&show_names=0&state=1&appid=

As we know, nothing has updated since 16 June, but I was monitoring the timeouts and late returns.

The last ones that I was aware of expired today, so if we still had the database running it would probably have just reached zero Tasks In Progress
