So....is anyone else leaving it running just to see what you might get from time to time, if anything? I received a WU on the 7th. I wonder how long these sporadic bits of data will continue to be sent out. |

My slowest computer, the single core Intel(R) Celeron(R) M processor 1.50GHz, just got 13 tasks. You win the Seti Lotto! Congrats |

The end is really starting to sink in now that one of my computer has run out. My Raspberry Pi ran out during the night, it is now running Einstein@Home. My Android phone is running its last task (now at 99.6%) and already running Einstein@Home on the other 3 cores. |

This PC hasn't seen a SETI task since at least the 31st. Have a great day! :) Siran CAPT Siran d'Vel'nahr - L L & P _\\// Winders 11 OS? "What a piece of junk!" - L. Another sign of how things are slowing down here: I'm currently in the top 5% with an RAC lower than one that just recently only placed me in the top 25%. |

I had 4 machines crunching SETI. One ran out of work in the last hour and has been turned off. Now there are 3. I'll keep them running after they finish their WUs. One is the one I'm using to send this message and is my home laptop anyway. Another is for my ham shack. The last is my previous consulting laptop, but is still used for other purposes, as well. When SETI WUs are done it will be the end of an era, and not a happy time. |

I wonder how long these sporadic bits of data will continue to be sent out. Hi Ian, I saw 3 tasks yesterday some time after I had made my reply post below. I watch pretty closely and I did not see 50 tasks assigned. I cannot dispute what the linked page says. I even periodically check the Event log and all I have seen from SETI is "Project has no tasks". Somehow SETI sneaked a bunch in when I wasn't looking. ;) Have a great day! :) Siran CAPT Siran d'Vel'nahr - L L & P _\\// Winders 11 OS? "What a piece of junk!" - L. I finished all the seti tasks I had. I'm still polling for more, but I thought I should mark this point in my personal history. We will need a general "I got one" thread like they have for AP. I'm running rosetta for the moment...while they have a covid project, then I'll see how einstein does. I'll stop all that if I get any more seti WUs though. |

Before you go to another project reduce the number of days cache to a small number or you could be surprised. Others projects not has the WU limitation problem of S@H, so if your cache is set for 10 days you will be swarm with 1000's of WU. Start with 0.5 days ans slowly increase untill you find your optimal point. |

I just reported my last task from the original batch, sniff. :'-) Now it's down to about a day of resends on the slower cruncher before I start other projects on it too. Gazing at the skies, hoping for contact... Unlikely, but it would be such a fantastic opportunity to learn. My alternative profile |

My 25 node Raspberry cluster is still full up. It has a RAC of about 12,000. All my fast machines have been empty for days with the odd resend, but those get processed within minutes so I don't even get to appreciate them while they run. |

PrimeGrid on 2 now. |

They're on an automatic feed - they haven't got round to blocking it yet! It would have been neater for the eventual restart if they had decided to stop after the final 31 March tape from Arecibo. Would have given me a better chance of reaching 200M credits, too . . So close. I am nearly 8 mil away but you only need another 40K or so :( Stephen < shrug > |

I'm pedalling as hard as I can!Would have given me a better chance of reaching 200M creditsGo for it! Fingers crossed. If i could help with anything just say the word. . . Here we can still go out for a walk for exercise. As long as we meet the other requirements. Stephen :) |

How can you tell when/how the new tapes are added? Checked one of my stations here, it has some of the 27's but most are 21-26 numbered units . . I was going to say I'm a bit late but I recommend SoG then I looked and saw you are using a GT730, nice little card BTW, and CUDA50 is about as good as it gets on one of those. I had some very pleasing results on mine using CUDA50. . . The highlight is the date the tape was recorded at Arecibo. There is a VPN link back to Berkeley and they were transmitted as part of an automated process which also included auto-mounting them on the splitters. Ended now of course. Stephen :) |

Wow, 20 million results and counting for validation. Wonder how long that will take when it shuts down? . . Yes, they have been doing some housekeeping and catching up with old outstanding tapes ... Stephen . . |
