Hi,
Is it possible to download a copy of the world view animation? (Preferably a busy example).
I would like one as a souvenir of SETI@Home now that our volunteer part is coming to an end.
I have tried recording it but the quality is appalling.

How are you trying to "record" it. Windows 10 has a built in screen recorder.

Press the Windows key+Alt+R and you should see it start, a small box will appear in the top right of the screen, it will have a timer and a "stop" button.

I was able to make a perfect recording using this method. Bear in mind it will capture the complete screen, so will show your browser and any tabs you have open.

The resulting MP4 video will be saved in your video folder under "captures"

Yes, that is the method I used but the recording has fuzzy areas all over it which move around and also blocky pixelation in some areas.
I have the settings set to the highest quality.

Thanks for the reply

If this is on the system with the AMD GPU and you have one of the newer AMD drivers with Radeon Settings installed, it has a full screen recorder as well via ReLive: press CTRL+SHIFT+E at the same time (but watch out with BOINC open as it uses this key set to open the event log).

I had assumed the recording app was just not up to it but since you had managed I switched to a different PC with higher spec graphics and I now have a good quality recording.
I use Chrome browser and if you press F11 it switches to full screen, what used to be known as kiosk mode in the days of IE.

Thanks for your help.
