Hi all I propose some sort of last SETI challenge - to revive as many computational devices as you can and start SETI project on them. Yes, I know SETI short of work for now, but list of connected hosts still counts! Lets show our support ! SETI apps news We're not gonna fight them. We're gonna transcend them. |

Fired up my 2nd rig for this ;) [edit] Sig is out of date, my i7 is now my 2nd rig. But it seems they've already run out of WUs? Is this due to server problems or have they shut off the tap early? Raistmer, are you going to move to another project (crunching or coding) after Seti? All hosts will remain connected to SETI, of course. But some of them have backup project (Einstein@home) , perhaps I add same or another (depending on hardware) prpject to other. Regarding coding - not sure for now, not too much spare time and no such inspiration so far. Rather I hope to help on SETI continuation/resurrection. SETI apps news We're not gonna fight them. I did this ... fired up every machine in the house and upgraded what I could. Now it looks like the work units have stopped flowing in. My computers are running cooler and the fans are slowly spinning down. It's over. -=- Boris |

Don't give up! My hosts catch WU time to time still And resurrecting some of hosts is a puzzle keeping from panic and bad thoughts very well :) For example, on one of old notebooks BOINC denies to see network. Why... SETI apps news We're not gonna fight them. We're gonna transcend them. |

I think the older version can't speak the correct version of TLS to successfully connect to the servers. Only hope for those machines is to get a newer BOINC version working on them. I had some trouble with this bringing some old gear online so I could hopefully reach a milestone before the end. |

I had some trouble with this bringing some old gear online so I could hopefully reach a milestone before the end. Had such issue with Zoom.us on Vista x86 PC. It required newer TLS than PC had.
