The organisation said more than 1,000 planes currently flying could potentially be at risk of electrical failures as a result of production problems...

Reeeaaally...

You'll Never Believe What Caused This Boeing 737 MAX In-Flight Engine Shutdown

So...

That's another fuel cut off switch that "inadvertently" somehow moved into the cut-off position, critically, during takeoff.

How can that be?...

... And for the side story: I've always been disturbed about pilots having food and beverages in the cockpit, precariously over all those electronic and electrical controls...

For example for just one contrast, in something as benign but expensive as a server room, there is a strict policy of no food or beverages, and that's whilst firmly being anchored to Terra Firma.

Fly safe with that?...

I thought... one has to pull the lever before any change of its position. No info on that in the video.

In my humble personal opinion:

Underhand, dastardly, NASTY:
... But Fisher’s lawyers say Boeing’s attempts to deflect liability in past lawsuits despite what the NTSB investigation found led to the pilot being sued by some passengers and caused him great distress...

... “It was clear Boeing’s words were directed at Captain Fisher in attempt to paint him as the scapegoat for Boeing’s numerous failures,”...

We really do need to bring the Directors into being personally responsible...

All in a deadly greedy world...

Corporations are in fact sovereign immunity grants.

If they can strip sovereign immunity from the pesdicide manufacturers why not strip it from the aircraft manufacture and maintenance industry.
