hi, take a look hereThat issue affects Cubase- it's an audio processing limitation. Not an issue for regular programmes. Grant Darwin NT |

Task master shows 32 active programs. What about Task Manager? Right click on the Task bar, Left click on Task Manager. Left click on Performance Tab, then left click on CPU. If there is only 1 CPU graph, right click on the graph, select "Change Graph to, Logical Processes." Are there 48 graphs there now? If there are, and only 32 are active, it is most likely because you have limited the number of CPUs BOINC can use. Everything is up to date. Task master shows 32 active programs. Device manager on the other hand shows 48 cpu's. I'm really stumped. What about your account settings? Computing preferences, Use at most xxx% of the CPUs should be set to 100% Grant Darwin NT |

Recently i purchased some computer parts. AMD RYZEN THREADRIPPER 2790WX 24 core 48 threads - ASUS ROG STRIX X399-E gaming M/B. and a RADEON RX 570 8GB VIDEO CARD, and a very big fan for cooling the cpu. Running on WINDOWS 10. So here's the problem; I'm running seti and world community grid projects and the issue i have is that in the task bar where all the work is being shown, it shows only 32 cpu's doing work, where are the other 16?? Furthermore when i look at the project stats it only shows 4gb of vram as apposed to 8gb. I've been in touch with the AMD people and they had me run some benchmark programs and all was fine according to them. They suggested that maybe SETI and other programs may have limitations and the software doesn't recognize the extra cpu's. Any suggestions muchly appreciated. Thank You All JAKE.

|

it shows only 32 cpu's doing work, where are the other 16??No idea, as many other people are running similar CPUs and all cores & threads are available. You haven't limited the number of cores in the BIOS? Do all cores & threads show in Task Manager? If so, you haven't limited CPU usage in your account? (Computing preferences, Use at most xxx% of the CPUs should be set to 100%). Here's a link.No one can look at files on your system, you need to post them to a hosting site for other people to view them. Grant Darwin NT |
