Message 2037151 - Posted: 10 Mar 2020, 19:38:34 UTC

since SETI is going into hibernation the end of this month, I decided to add new projects to my list. I also run Einstein and ClimatePrediction with no issues on 2 Macs with the latest version of BOINC and OS.. Every time I attempt to add a new project it fails to connect and tells me to check my e-mail and password. I verified both and they are the same ones I use to login to any of my existing projects. Is it possible that the other projects don't like my email being from verizon.net? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When you try to add the other projects, are you using the option to sign on as a new user, or as an existing user?
You should try the latter.

That said, Darwin 19.3.0, isn't that Catalina? It may have to do with BOINC 7.14.2 not being compliant with that version. Instead you can try 7.14.3 that's being tested at the moment. See this post on the BOINC forums for download links and the change log.

Yes, I am running Catalina. I will try the Beta BOINC and see what happens. Can't hurt.

my login failed on Asteroids, Cosmology, and Rosetta. So far, those are the only 3 I attempted to add.

I am in the process of rebuilding an old PC. I will give that a shot when it is ready to go.

I just checked on a Windows PC. The other projects still won't let me attach to them as an existing user. This implies that it is no a Mac computer issue. My e-mail address and password are correct so I am left to conclude that the projects don't like my "verizon.net" address.

Can you PM me your login details? Then I'll ask the Cosmology admin about it. I mean user name and email address (two things you don't want to post in the open forums)
