500GB SSD is in the post...
And arrived the following morning. Much time wasted due to Windows 10 (initialising a new disk used to be under the 'Administrative tools' menu item, now it's only a keyboard shortcut: disengaging from OneDrive requires registry hacks), but I now have a working profiling tool ...

... which doesn't tell us much more than we knew already. These are the fist 15 jobs from my offline task - just under half the full run.

Still, it's here if we need it.

Actually more data just blurs main point (just as our rulers like to do speaking about average salary and other average benefits).
TDR will not be triggered by average kernel length, it will be triggered by the longest one. And if first picture clearly shows there are at least some kernels longer than 4s, new one "averages" it to 2.8 s...

WorldCommunityGrid is sending OpenPandemics-COVID-19 GPU tasks which take about three to four minutes on my GTX 1060 board.

Yes, the stress test is underway. The servers are feeling the stress and uploads are struggling if not stalling. I think we can safely say the test has been a success as it bring back memories of the days when SETI was doing much the same.....

Stress test? Would love to know what parameters they use.
Results returned practically doubled, points practically quintupled yet total run time no change.

i wouldnt expect runtime to change much. most users are still running 24/7 and that hasnt changed with the new tasks.

personally I think that whole metric is pointless. it just adds up all of the combined runtime of jobs to imagine how long it would take on some hypothetical single core computer. and only serves to glorify slow CPUs which will get much more runtime than results. and GPUs are a bit left out of that metric. since 1 job runs much faster yet is massively threaded across thousands of GPU cores but only gets the runtime of 1. I could add over a Year every day if I enabled CPU processing for WCG (over 380 threads across my systems).

so what's more impressive: the person with "10 years" of runtime, or the person with "30 days" of runtime that processed 10x the work? In WCG-logic, the former gets a higher 'rank'.

That may be true, however, during the start of GPU crunching saw an average increase of 20 days total run time (team that is).

The kitties are pawing along nicely there since the servers have settled down with the new high protein kibbles they have been dishing up.

Add to that penalizing of code optimization work )
If same work will be done faster - who interested in that? :))))

An OPNG task took 19 min 57 s on my GTX 1060. The GPU was not engaged in the first 8 minutes.

Nice going.
Better enjoy the next 10 days at 4th as the day after, Rob will knock me down to 5th. :-(
@Tullio
The MIPS project at WCG is Rosetta if you're interested.

My credits have shot up in WCG as I started crunching OpenPandemics-Covid-19 on my GTX 1060 GPU. Each task takes about 20 minutes.
