Until WCG releases their application. I'm interested to hear where people would recommend I put my RTX 2070? Running Windows 10 https://milkyway.cs.rpi.edu/milkyway/ is a good choice. Have a great day! :) Siran CAPT Siran d'Vel'nahr - L L & P _\\// Winders 11 OS? "What a piece of junk!" - L. I am running Cancer Markers, and would like to run some COVID. But the OpenPandemics tasks all error out with the following............... 3/16/2021 2:17:02 PM | World Community Grid | [error] Process creation failed: (unknown error) - error code 193 (0xc1) The kitties don't know what to do to fix it. Well, thanks................................ Since other folks were discussing WCG here, I thought somebody might have a clue about my error problem. Sorry to have disturbed you. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

Mark certainly feel free to ask the question in the cancer support forum. I am sure that somebody there will be very happy to help. I assume you have tried the good old trick of turning off and restarting the client/computer? |

I assume you have tried the good old trick of turning off and restarting the client/computer? Oh yeah, it's been hot and cold and upside down booted and rebooted. I just did a project reset for WCG. My guess is it won't fix anything, but I won't know for a day or two until it gets and tries to run another OpenPandemics task. I assume you have tried the good old trick of turning off and restarting the client/computer? The standard CPU tasks. I'm not doing any GPU beta. Since QuChemPedIA@home seems dead, I started WCG on an old Linux laptop with an AMD E-450 CPU. Got an OpenPandemics task and two MappingCancerMarkers tasks. Wait and see. Tullio |

Well, that would be the answer then. Thank you. It is indeed an old rig running on XP 64 bit. I will deselect OpenPandemics tasks. Meow. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

Sorry, no. I tend to upgrade (slowly) to the new versions, rather than hack the old ones. I'm still running mostly Windows 7, and that works fine. |

I just started an AfricaRainfall task on my old Linux laptop. It has a 6 days deadline but it should make it. No problem with OpenPandemics and Mapping Cancer Markers on the same laptop. Tullio |

Just another 16 hours for Sapphire on MCM. Should already hit that by now. :-) As for stats, anyone able to access Free-DC? All my attempts have been timing out. |

I have two Emerald Badges, one Ruby Badge and a Bronze Badge on Africa RainFall, which has the longest tasks. Maybe my HP laptop with an E-450 CPU will help me. Tullio |

Thanks. As soon as cache emptied, switching to MIP as have Sapphire on MCM & Open pandemics. |

Thanks. If I can give you a word of the helpful advice to get the best efficiency from MIP it is best to run fewer tasks as they run faster. On my 3900 X 24 cores I run 4 at a time, it works well with my CPU case size when I'm contributing to the project. |

Got a Silver Badge for the AfricaRainfall project- My old HP Linux laptop ran one task in four days, well inside the six days deadline. Tullio |

Another new member to the team. Welcome to Lone Tree. If his stats are anything to go by, won't be long before he reaches the No 1 spot. Good luck to him. |
