WCG obviously have a backup system, if the BOINC database goes offline. Very nice.

Message from "World Community Grid Tech" :

"The server hosting the BOINC database has gone offline. We are working with the datacenter team to find out what happened.
Once we have confirmation that the system is completely down and thus does not have our database SAN storage mounted,
we will be able to failover the database to another server and resume normal activities.

However, until we are able to confirm that, BOINC clients will be unable to contact the scheduler to report completed work or fetch new work.

We apologize for the disruption."

Do we have a full list of the projects that are currently doing covid related work?

Meow?

Rosetta (can add through boinc)
Folding at Home
both have current covid projects.

World Community Grid (WCG) is in beta testing for a covid project (can add through boinc)

Much to my amazement My RAC. which has dropped to 1/3 of what it was, has put me into the top 1%. So many Setizens have gone onto other things and I try to get what ever resends I can get.

Enjoy your shiny metal :-) It looks very nice

Well that didn't last very long.

1% may have not lasted long but you are still in the top 5%, hang in there ;)

(facepalm)....

I'm starting to think if participants ever really realised how carelessly their computational resources and donated energy are used... BOINC would be turned off :/

Interesting that no one who responded to you actually addressed the point and question you raised.

Well, actually one of very nice surprises - admins there _read_ the forums :)

Check how the <app_version>, <workunit>, and <result> sections are set up for those Rosetta tasks in client_state.xml. It ought to be possible to tweak those minirosetta_database copies into a softlink, leaving a single master copy in the project directory. Then, when you've tweaked it and tested it, teach them how to run BOINC efficiently!

Thanks, Richard. I'm already started to think how trick app on OS level... but if it's possible to do by own BOINC means - that would be much more right way.

We all will miss S@H with it's small, relatively low memory usage and fast to crunch Wu. :(

Yep, but here I would stress another part - not just fast to crunch, but EFFECTIVELY crunched. W/o obvious wastes and dumb things.

https://einsteinathome.org/ru/task/942986989

It's E@h task for Android devices. And it has that -196 indeed:
Статус выхода: 196 (0x000000C4) EXIT_DISK_LIMIT_EXCEEDED

So should I complain on Einstein's forum about this (if it's server-side issue probably I should) ?

That is what I would do.
[Edit] There's a separate android app feedback thread in 'Problems and bug reports' at E@H forum.

Thanks, reported there.
