Yes they don't have GPU apps unfortunately.
Please note nothing against Rosetta, i like the project and participate sometimes and wish to do that now.
But is a "relatively small" project who grows exponential in the last days, exactly maybe the Covid-19 crisis.
Just look theirs stats:
Computadores
With recent credit	95723
Registered in past 24 hours	22295

So about 1/4 of the computers are registered within in the last 24 hrs.
We need to keep that in mind to not swarm their server or we could do more harm than good.
Just remember S@H with all the DB and servers capacity problems . We have the responsibility to not allow that repeat there.
Keep the project running is very important. specialty because we, as species, needs their developments.
Who are their limits and how many host they could handle is a good question to ask there.

Has anyone got a feel or experience with crunching for "Cosmology@Home"?

It seems to require a virtual machine and similar exotica.

Some projects will let you pick the specific applications you want to run. So far I haven't been able to see where we can select the Corona-19 only.

Other Note: Rosetti@Home uses significantly more memory than Seti@Home. So you may get a "waiting for memory" message.

And I had to reduce available memory in BOINC to 75% when a user is active or the screen response became very, very sluggish.

@Tom Not all has mining machines with 10+ GPUs as you. Each Rosetta task uses up to 1 GB IIRC so it's fine for most of the regular hosts. I just not run, for now, because they only has CPU apps and all my available cores are used to feed the GPU's for the SETI last days. After that i will join there. They need all the computer power we could spare to help in the fight with the evil virus.

True but I was making note of this on a 3 gpu box with 16GB memory https://setiathome.berkeley.edu/show_host_detail.php?hostid=8853145 which is also running other cpu tasks. Specifically World Community Grid (which has other tasks I have a high interest in).

I agree if you don't have another CPU oriented project that you are committed to then running all Rosetti@Home makes sense. As it is, unless I buy more ram it doesn't look like I could run 28 threads of Rosetti@Home on this box.
Even running 2 threads of Rosetti has caused other CPU tasks to say "waiting for memory". Only when I dropped it to 1 has the waiting for memory message gone away.

I am part of the "high risk" group that Corona-19 seems to like to kill. We have had 2 deaths in my US State (Kansas).

But I am also reading the my News Feeds which now claims that with the addition of at least one Super Computer Folding@Home is the fastest computer "system" currently on the planet. The claim is it is faster than the next 7 computers on the Top 100 Exascale list.

So I am not willing to shutdown my other commitments completely to help pursue another Corona-19 cure/treatment/therapy.

Well Rosetti@H stopped giving me Corona-19 labeled tasks to crunch :(

Oh, well. Crunch on, crunch on.

Well, given the present situation with the Virus, while i still have a job (unlike so many) the amount of work to do is expected to fall off a cliff, and the chance of me seeing any overtime for the remainder of the year is basically none. Even if i don't end up being stood down without pay at some stage.
So even if Seti were still running i'd be taking my GPUs out of commission and just running my CPUs (and maybe only one of them at that) so i can afford to keep paying my mortgage. So while i may join up with a CPU only project, it's most likely going to be a case removing that portion from my power bill as well, to get me through the hard slog ahead.
Things have become dire indeed.

Yep, so far 2020 has been hell around here. First, my favorite Cat died in January. In mid-February my 90 year old Bed-bound Dad died of something that fit all the symptoms of the Chinese virus. Of course, back then they weren't testing anyone for the Virus, especially if you had been in Hospice for over a year and Bed-bound. Then in March SETI died. I'm dreading April. The only Good thing that happened was no one in direct contact with my Dad has turned up ill...that I know of, and I'm finally receiving Social Security checks. Big changes. I suddenly have this overwhelming sense of Freedom. I'm not quite sure what to do with it yet, maybe I'll come up with a plan once all the paranoia ends. I'm perfectly healthy, and apparently have stared the evil in it's eye and held it's hand. Now if I could just find some TP in one of the stores...

Yup, the job is not finished till the Paperwork is done.

My news feed did come up with a "bidet". ;)

I will have to ponder that issue. While I am committed to finishing to the end of month with as many gpus as I can manage to run after that I could switch down to one gpu per box or probably one computer with one gpu and still feel involved.

And hope my level pay plan of $480/month begins to do down...

Doing my bit for science. Running 9 Rosetta on my 3900X. The first Covid-19 ran in about 90 minutes.

Just went to put one of my systems on Rosetta@home, and
Project is down
The project's database server is down. Please check back in a few hours.

I somehow don't think many of the other distributed computing projects (especially medical ones at this point in time) realised just what they were in for when Seti announced it's hibernation.

Edit-
Looks like they may be coming back to life, just picked up some wok from them.
It's just a shame they haven't made use of volunteer developers as Seti has- from a quick read of some of the threads in their message boards, their applications are pretty much of the same level as Seti's original CPU application. Not makeing use of any SSSE extensions, let alone AVX.
And one thread on making use of GPUs, someone pointed out how unsuitable GPUs are for any real sort of computing work compared to multi core CPUs, with many supporting posts to that statement (*extreme eye roll*)

Interesting looking at the graphs for Rosetta.
Thy had 300-400k Results in progress, then around 14th March the numbers started climbing, with a very large spike just in the last 24hrs. Now up to 1.5M.

It varies quite a bit, i've had Tasks using over 1.2GB, on the message boards there have been reports of some over 1.5GB a while back.
On my 6c/12t system (all in use), it's generally been around 12GB of RAM in use, and just under 8GB of HDD space with a 1 day cache.
