Started in 1999. Fun while it lasted. I was featured on a Home Box Office (HBO) VICE special about SETI. Built up computers for SETI - starting with a computer that took almost a week to do one Classic Work Unit. Things changed so quickly! |

I would like to contribute to breakthrough listen - Is this possible, and if it is - How? Not through Seti@Home but you could probably donate money to the Seti Institute or something. Tom M A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association). |

I have added or had to replace OS's since the hibernation started and am no longer able to add them to Seti@Home. Is there a work around? Tom M A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association). |

Like many others, I can't believe we've reached this point. I too am a 20+ year contributor. I think of all the years that I installed SETI over the many computers I owned to support this cause. Will there be an acknowledgement page for all the users to opt-in if they want to be mentioned in the published paper as contributors? |

I'm guess the hibernation is why I haven't gotten any new projects. |

I'm guess the hibernation is why I haven't gotten any new projects. Nope. Its why you haven't gotten any new Seti@Home tasks. You can always go to "Add projects" on the menu and add other research that appeals to you. A number of Setizens are now processing everything from Gpugrid to Primegrid to Rossetta@Home (Protein folding and Convid19 research) to World Community Grid (Convid19 and other research) Tom M A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association). |

I'm guess the hibernation is why I haven't gotten any new projects. Seti@Home is a "project" what it used to send out are called "work units" or WU. I think the "naming " might be the cause of confusion. |

Hi, after participating in SETI for twenty plus years and now in hibernation. I finally have a question I can't find the answer for. I can find the date I joined the original SETI classic project. But is there some place that would tell me what position in joining. ie. How many joined before and how many after? |

... is there some place that would tell me what position in joining. ie. How many joined before and how many after? Yes. Just consider your user id number on here: For example for yourself, that is "124281". Sorry, no idea for the "Classic" user count. Very good you've been along to see the entire search we've worked through thus far. Nicely done! Who knows what next!
