And even after all that time, the last of my Valids haven' been cleared. None of those stats have updated since 16 June |

And even after all that time, the last of my Valids haven' been cleared.Appears that they have been waiting for all tasks in a WU to get to deadline (either by completing task or by missing deadline) before taking off list, even though task marked as valid. My last WU (3944583333) has 3 valid tasks, including mine. However, 4th task is waiting for 7/24 deadline by an anonymous host which hasn't checked in since 6/15/20. Pretty sure won't make deadline!! |

That has been the case the whole time, it's just that there are Tasks in my Valids that should have timed out over 3 weeks ago, but are still showing as In progress. And even after all that time, the last of my Valids haven' been cleared.Appears that they have been waiting for all tasks in a WU to get to deadline (either by completing task or by missing deadline) before taking off list, even though task marked as valid. The system just isn't processing them. As Jimbocous mentioned, it's been broken since the 16th of June, and it's still broken even after the extra extended outage. Grant Darwin NT |

Greetings, The SSP has been updated today, July 14th. There's not much info on the page. I looked at my account stats and I still have 10 valid tasks listed. Go figure... Have a great day! :) Siran CAPT Siran d'Vel'nahr - L L & P _\\// Winders 11 OS? "What a piece of junk!" - L. Yup, that's something - different. But says very little about status. Likewise, my last 16 'active' tasks remain in the state they were in at 16 June. Until they restart the full processing chain, we won't really know where we stand. |

I have a feeling that during the "long outage" they moved from the Colo back to a more "office based" system. It would make sense, to save money, also they no longer need the fast connection provided by the Colo. |

This is bugging me no end! After posting on the coronavirus thread, clicked on "Message Boards" & see that a post was made on the "News" 14 minutes ago. So off I go to the news thread. Huh?? Last post was 14 days so refreshed screen & have done that for the past 15 min or so. It's currently showing 33 minutes. Anyone else seeing this? |

Ah good, so not me then. Thought I'd lost my mind... You are right Grumpy. The time reflects the last visible post. That resets when a post is moved or hidden to the previous viewable post time \ date. |

This is bugging me no end!Now more weirdness. Technical news is showing a Last post 12 hours ago. But looking there shows nothing posted for years- all the threads are locked. Grant Darwin NT |

This is bugging me no end!Now more weirdness. Far more weird is that only mods/admins can start a thread there. As everything else has been locked long term it can't be from a normal user. |

It happens when an someone posts a new thread and a moderator or admin then hides that thread. The time will go back to the previous old time when one hides the post first, then the thread. If you just hide the thread, that thread's new post time will stay visible. Same when an admin deletes the thread instead of the post. The post is what makes the new post time. |

When a mod hides or deletes a post as Jord describes, the index page for the sub-forum ('News', 'Number crunching') reverts to displaying the timestamp for the newest still-visible post. But the master index page remains stuck on the timestamp of the now-invisible hidden/deleted post: it is not reverted. That's how we know that Technical News had a flicker of life 16 hours ago (as I type), but we can't see which thread was affected in the Technical News index. |

Okay, just tested it on the BOINC forums. Index now shows a post was made but you'll find nothing there. Not even moderators will find anything there. I made a new thread. Then hid the thread. That hides both the whole thread and the new time to post from the main index. Unhid the thread. Hid the post. That leaves the thread title without any visible posts. Unhid the thread, Then I deleted the post. This hides both the thread and the post but leaves the thread's new post time visible. So that's what's happened in these cases. Admin made a post and instead of hiding it, he deleted it. That leaves the new post time intact. (So it's the other way around, one has to hide or delete the thread for the time to revert. And not as I surmised hide or delete the post) |
