Do you think the project will push out final stats files for export once they shut down? It would be shame not to have final stats for the work done, completed and validated. Been over five days now with no stats exports.

If you've got a Facebook account, i'd suggest a post to that Facebook page.
It's seems to get noticed.

Hi Stephen,

I do have a FB page, but am not logged into it. The BOINC Manager image is clickable and it brings up a bigger picture and the comments list. It did not ask me to log in.

Have a great day! :)

What is the point of crunching work on a super fast GPU that has already been VALIDATED days ago by 2 or 3 slower hosts ?
The host returns them when it returns them. Do you really expect me to click through all the tasks on the web site one by one to figure out what task have a filled quorum and what tasks do not?

I think the majority of your older tasks are probably already Validated, but a larger amount of your Newest tasks are still waiting.

If you can prioritize the tasks that you have received in the last 7-10 days, then you would probably have a higher hit rate of Needed Tasks instead of 3rd or 4th places.

I can crunch them either in deadline order or fifo order. Both ways put those tasks at the end of the list. And I can't micromanage them by suspending tasks in the manager because the manager dies a horrible death if I try to make it show all the tasks. Also deviating from the deadline order would make me miss some deadlines as I filled my cache to the deadline limit in March.

Considering how they are sending out more copies of the outstanding unvalidated tasks and seeing that all my pendings and inconclusives are now disappearing quickly, my message to those who fiddled the system to get 10s of thousands of tasks is;

You are wasting time and energy for no good reason.

The longer I can maintain my RAC above 1, the longer I can keep posting on this forum ;)

That post was posted on Posted: 1 Apr 2020, and it says "We will have to replace the RAC>1 requirement with a total credit requirement. We may also have to come up with an endorsement process to allow new users."
He never posted after that saying that it's actually fixed.
And he didn't even say that they intend to actually do it.

. . Actually Eric commented that with the cessation of crunching they would remove the RAC requirement to use the forums (in favour of Total Credit), but they would also limit "new" hosts/accounts to prevent strangers from hacking the system.

. . I have got to set my alarm clock to an earlier hour. I always seem to get to the party late :(
