They turned on a plan_class which was shut down because of these errors, but were actively developing the replacement. Funny part is it has now been running for 3 months, and used to cause many, many more problems before. Throttling now makes zero sense, and keeping a faulty plan_class active makes even less. . . I take it then you are running stock. It is too hard to see any host's stats to be clear from here. Stephen ? |

Somebody open the gates of the new work generation and we have a massive amount of new work available to DL. Your cache is refilling at about 2400 WU per hour. If the feeding frenzies continues it could reach your 20K level in about 8 hrs. Hope they not shut down the new work production before that. Was unclear at what exactly hour that shutdown will be done. AFAIK they just tell the date March 31. Lets see what the day bring to us. Happy hunting for new WUs. . . I am happy to clear up the resends, they need to be sorted out. Just as long as the results will actually validate and clear the WUs. If they are just going to become a smouldering pile of trash left in the bin then that would be a waste of time and electricity. :( Stephen ? ? |

Very fitting Jord! I think it's all a matter of perspective, but we all know the history over the last 20 years, and the number of changes, and accidents, and issues, and upgrades, and new technologies, and well...you can't deny there is a bit of this in there too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rpw-cDglXP0 That's adult beverage music there. |

And then there were the days that some poor college kid came in one early morning, and didn't get enough caffeinated beverage, and oops... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=icZ-rhJq3ms |

We can be optimist no? Maybe they discover the system is now working so well there is no need to shut down. What happening to make that? Did the admins finally discovered what was the source of all the problems? |

Well it’s confirmed. No longer just a “HOPEâ€, but the project will continue to accept tasks and perform resends after today. https://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=85412&postid=2042009#2042009 As promised, we've stopped the process that puts new data into the queue today. Data distribution will continue until the files shown on the status pages are done. We'll be accepting results and resending results that didn't validate for a while. As we speak the last tape is crunching, 26mr20ad not expect anymore new WU in large quantities, instead few resends. At least they give us a bang at the end and our caches are filled. We only could thanks Erik and the Seti Lab Team for all they do for us & the project in this long years. |

Now the thing to debate about is the exact meaning of "for a while" ;) . . If the boffins revisit that script to expedite resends of old tasks not likely to return a result, then we may see a stream of resends that will clear much of the backlog. If not then 'a while' may be several months. Stephen ? ? |

Now the thing to debate about is the exact meaning of "for a while" ;) Already starting to see a lot of resends. Looks like I'm off the do not trust list. Thanks Eric. Appreciated. |
