@Lynn,
Did you read the notices? The project was down for maintenance to, in the long run, improve performance. I know that credit is important to some, I also take pride in trying to be at the top of my group, but what is more important is the work itself. Finding proof of intelligent life could change the world, hopefully for the better, and you have to look at the bigger picture.
Best Regards.

Exactly what I think.

They run in only a few seconds

Not all of them. The current batch (BLC35) has a lot of bad data.

Understand the explanation and rationale given by "Mr Kevvy." - Thanks!

However, has there been published an estimate as to how long the work unit outage may last?

I kind of expected that was the case. I had a 'bunch' all at one time.

You're welcome. :^) The work outage is (temporarily?) over as the results are below 20M with most of the purging done. Let's see how long this lasts...

I am glad it is back working again. Just wanted to know what happened to the full scanning graphic on my screen saver. I miss that as my working background? I see that the operation is working OK.

Maybe you found a signal and just need all the parts to it but they are out in the field. ;)

My point of view is that it is ok to be proud of accomplishment when a certain number of work was done. But we should not loose out of our focus that the data are best possible correct that are sent out to us, so that there would be only a minority of bad data. To reach this, it is essential to do some necessary adjustments on the side of the servers where we are getting our data from. This has a "temporary" impact on the amount of distributed workunits as expected. We should not be ignorant of the technical challenges on the server side, but rather see the bigger picture. Ignorance about anything is just the lack of knowledge.
As far as I was able to follow the conversations in the boards I more and more I see that the staff is working really hard, to get this server environment running exceptionally stable, far out of this n what we can imagine,
Despite the fact of not being English nativ, so I do hope that my message was clear and well- understandable.

Kind regards,
Peter
