amd gpy driver issue with cards

But I continue to see posts advising people to stay away from the latest AMD drivers. Not necessary for an older card like a RX460. That card should work with no issues on the older drivers and be immune from the current AMD Navi card problem of producing bad science results. Sounds like you are saying the newer drivers don't support the older hardware. That can be a possibility since driver support often deprecates older hardware to get the newer features of the newer hardware working. In that case, you can either run the older hardware on the older drivers or vice versa. Can't do both and you will have to make a choice.
