Well, i'm pleasantly surprised. Must have been a few system tweaks done during the outage because after an extremely rough few hours after the servers came back up, the splitters have maintained an excellent minimum level of output once they did get going. There's the occasional request that gets less than was reported, but my caches are already both pretty much up to their limits. Grant Darwin NT |

my caches are already both pretty much up to their limits. It looks like the limits are now 150 for the CPU and 250 per GPU. |

my caches are already both pretty much up to their limits. It looks like the limits are now 150 for the CPU and 250 per GPU. . . I will have a look at my machines and see if that theory holds up. . . {edit} . . Yep, those numbers hold up on all my machines so they seem to have done a little tweaking on that issue. Maybe that will satisfy the worry warts who feel the increased limits are the source of all our woes ... :) Stephen ? ? |

My system was oh so quiet, so I did an update and got an interesting answer: 16/01/2020 12:55:19 | SETI@home | update requested by user 16/01/2020 12:55:22 | SETI@home | sched RPC pending: Requested by user 16/01/2020 12:55:22 | SETI@home | [sched_op] Starting scheduler request 16/01/2020 12:55:22 | SETI@home | Sending scheduler request: Requested by user. 16/01/2020 12:55:22 | SETI@home | Reporting 11 completed tasks 16/01/2020 12:55:22 | SETI@home | Not requesting tasks: don't need (CPU: ; AMD/ATI GPU: ) 16/01/2020 12:55:22 | SETI@home | [sched_op] CPU work request: 0.00 seconds; 0.00 devices 16/01/2020 12:55:22 | SETI@home | [sched_op] AMD/ATI GPU work request: 0.00 seconds; 0.00 devices 16/01/2020 12:55:24 | SETI@home | Scheduler request completed 16/01/2020 12:55:24 | SETI@home | [sched_op] Server version 709 16/01/2020 12:55:24 | SETI@home | Project requested delay of 303 secondsDon't need? Seti's the only project allowed to ask for work, but we don't need it? Not silly BOINC, beginners error. N00b Jord! You're running optimized apps, and haven't added a GPU app. So, going to figure out how to manually download the new 8.24 app again to add it into the app_info.xml file. Hints welcome! Okay, hints no longer needed, got it running with setiathome_8.24_windows_intelx86__opencl_ati5_SoG.exe and correct MultiBeam_Kernels_r3584.cl files. :) |

Hmmm. Does that mean I have to re-enable all my NSIS tools, and build a new installer? (My build machine died. I have all the data files archived, but no machine with active development tools for the installer). |

If you want, I can send you my work plus binary(/ies) |

If you want, I can send you my work plus binary(/ies)"Want" isn't exactly the word I was groping for - I'm supposed to be retired. But if it "needs" to be done - i.e. if nobody else has picked up the baton since I dropped it - I suppose I could do it. Don't worry about the files - I can remember how to do it manually, even though I haven't got an ATI card. The biggest problem will be documentation, proof-reading and testing, since my primary collaborator dropped out of the project three years ago and out of all communication some time later. Give me a day or two to get my mind into order. |

Is a dose of BTF required? You mean the Boredom Threshhold Failure medicine? Yes, that's a vital part of the project. Copy, paste, tweak. Copy, paste, tweak. Copy, paste, tweak. Make more coffee before the mistakes become too obvious. Copy, paste, tweak. Copy, paste, tweak. Copy, paste, tweak. And the other sort of brown fluid as a reward when it's all over. |

Copy, paste, tweak x 16? Nah, Notepad++ and CTRL = H. Then it's only copy, paste ALL. Am enjoying water, clear, not brown. What is it with you who drink your tea so dark? Brrrr... OT: back to 16/01/2020 15:48:15 | SETI@home | Project has no tasks available |

So what's up with all the tasks Not Validating? I've seen this after an outage, but these tasks are from around Mid-night last night onward. I'm trying to test a New App, but the tasks aren't being Validated for like Ten hours now, https://setiathome.berkeley.edu/results.php?hostid=6979629&offset=100 It's much longer than the Replica backlog too, here, https://setiathome.berkeley.edu/workunit.php?wuid=3840970825 The Server seems awful slow as well... |

Looks like we are facing a new outage. For the last 50 minutes my computers haven't been able to contact the servers successfully. Just timeouts and internal server errors. |

I also noticed that it takes up to 20 sec. for a page to load. What other problems do we have? I don't buy computers, I build them!! |

After server came back up, it dropped my Intel GPU from my profile and won't let me get that type of WUs anymore. What should I do or is it something on your side? Thanks!!! |
