It's the Friday before a holiday week and the servers know it. The file system containing the beta project uploads directory is having problems, so beta is down until further notice. This problem may be affecting the rate at which the main project can handle results, so the validation and assimilation queues are getting large, which may affect the rate of work generation. @SETIEric@qoto.org (Mastodon) |

Many thanks for the update as it's certainly better than it being a mystery issue... cc'ed to the server thread in NC. |

Thanks for letting us know. There's also a report in Q&A that trac seems to have become detached from svn: Warning: Can't synchronize with repository "(default)" (Unsupported version control system "svn": No module named svn). Look in the Trac log for more information. Trac Error Unsupported version control system "svn": No module named svnThat may or may not be related. |

Eric, can you comment on why the beta server code was ported over to main, and maybe related, why anonymous platform hosts can no longer receive work? Is this intentional? Seti@Home classic workunits: 29,492 CPU time: 134,419 hours |

why anonymous platform hosts can no longer receive work? Is this intentional? If that is intentional please tell us, so we could power down our hosts. Hope was a simple mistake. |

Thanks Mr. Korpela for this revolutionary post that I believe users have been waiting for long: "The announcement of a server problem to users on a post unaffected by the server problem..." Hope this will be the sign of future announcements (which I hope to be less and less as problems are solved My best wishes to you and your staff... |

Eric, can you comment on why the beta server code was ported over to main, and maybe related, why anonymous platform hosts can no longer receive work? Is this intentional? Doubt its intentional. The beta server dying caused the main server to backup on its assimilating duties. Without that cleared it appears that it won't generate more work for anyone. Seems that the lag has set in again. Yesterday seen a lot of activity allowing validations to take place rapidly, but today has been slowly creeping higher again. By the way, I hope you and the staff were able to enjoy the holiday, and I hope for a resolution before we make our new year's resolutions. Good luck to all. |

Big thanks to Eric and all those who worked late to get everything back up and running. :) Everything seems quite smooth since the switch back. Seti@Home classic workunits: 29,492 CPU time: 134,419 hours |

Nothing but lag after the maintenance today Jan 02, 2020. Normally, I get a period where validations take off, but that hasn't happened yet 5+ hours after the maintenance. Hopefully, we can get those new drives installed soon, and stabilize the recent issues. |

This has nothing to do with the optimised app. I deinstalled and was trying to get work but cant do the intialisation because seti dont send data at this time. |
