Only about half of the US eligible voters show up on voting day. I'm quite sure that if more people actually voted, Trump would lose the election big time.

Just a wishful belief and nothing more.

The non Voter's, possibly believing that both Party's and their politicians are... Might possibly vote, if unconstitutionally forced to vote, for neither the Democrat nor Republican.

If so, and no one gets the required Electoral majority, it goes to the House. With each State delegation getting one vote and must pick from the top three candidates.

BTW: In 1824, the presence of four candidates split the Electoral College, and Andrew Jackson lost the House election to John Quincy Adams despite winning a plurality of both the popular and electoral vote!

BTW 2: The election for vice president is decided by the United States Senate.

Hey isn't 2/3 the number needed to convict?!

A little over 33% said, "I strongly disagree, I supported removal."
Nearly 11% said, "I disagree, I supported removal."
About 14% said, "I neither agree nor disagree" with Trump's acquittal.
About 11% said, "I agree, I supported acquittal."
And 22% said, "I strongly agree, I supported acquittal."
Meanwhile, a little less than 8% said, "I don't know."

44% wanted Conviction.

Just taking one point, the polls, the only poll showing trump ahead is Rasmussen Reports/Pulse Opinion Research, a poll with a very long history of being about five points to the right of nearly all others. The polls may be narrowing from the 10 points difference that they have been at for the last few months, but to say they have switched the other way, takes a lot of imagining, unless you are a hard line Trump supporter.

Seeing the reality of the increasingly anti-Democrat mood among lifelong Democrat voter's and Independent's who usually vote Democrat here in the important "swing state" of Florida.

Is perhaps why it is becoming apparent to the Democratic Party that they may have real problems this November.

BTW: I am referring to my friend's and former associates in Liberal Academia. Not some in my family who wear MAGA caps :-D

Because my large family and in-laws includes MAGA types, an elected local Democrat official, a political operative for the Florida Republican Party and Trump hater's.

Family gathering were, in the past, very "interesting". Until we all agreed to a "time out" regarding politics.

Does the Democrat Party have the capacity to reform itself and throw out its leadership, is the most important question.

It is highly unfair, partisan and biased to berate Democrats for the failed Impeachment process. In fact, nothing could be further from the truth. * Exposed Romney and organically expunged his career from politics as a fair and just punishment. And reunited him with God.

* Unified the GOP and cultivated unwavering loyalty and support for President Trump amongst party members.

* Surgically identified who President Trump needed to fire from his administration.

* Jolted Nancy to the brinks of insanity on national television and likely to the end of her career.

* Successfully wasted more of taxpayers money, proving Trump correct.

* Kept FOX & Hannity at the top of media ratings.

* Brought Trump biggest crowds to rallies and re-energized his base in perfect timing for election.

* Showed the public that the Russians have a long way to go to skill-match Democrats in corruption of American elections.

* Forced official probe into Hunter Biden, a connection to the Obama administration.

* Finished the careers of vulnerable Democrat congresspeople from purple states, paving the way for GOP to potentially retake the House in 2020.

* Showed the public that the courage of one man against relentless three-year assault by hundreds from the corrupt establishment is indeed inspiring, powerful and rules-changing.

A YUUUUUGE thank you to the Democratic Party of United States of America for ensuring that the most important of Trump 2016 campaign promises got done with impunity and pin-point accuracy: the draining of the swamp.

No one should ever accuse the Democrats of not working with the President. And I would advise the President to cease calling them the Do-Nothing Democrats. Schiff, Nadler and Pelosi should receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom for all they’ve done for the country.
