Years ago, when I lived in London, I knew a couple of police officers. One night we were discussing the latest round of street disturbances. Over a period of a couple of weeks they arrested a fair number of people involved - the same people. OK, but what got them was that some of those people were arrested first time from the midst of "one side of the debate", then a couple of weeks later "on the other side of the debate". After their first arrest they appeared in court were fined, second time around this was their second offence and so their cases got moved to a higher court where the fines were much more substantial with the prospect of a jail term as an "added bonus".
Yes "rent a thugs" did exist, and probably still do exist, and these thugs aren't interested in the politics of the side they are "fighting for" just so long as someone else pays their bail/fines (it's far harder to get someone else to do one's prison time....).

Kalabalik , originally a Turkish word which means: confusion, great disorder, crowd, rush, congestion . Stormy noise or behavior, riot. Actually a word still used in Swedish since the 18th century in the Great Nordic War.
Well there were kalabaliks last weekend in Stockholm. Today it was Gothenburg.
Why? "Black Lifes Matter". But I thought every lives matter no matter of color...
I don't think Trump is a racist really but he sure doesn't do anything to stop riots from people that are racists.

Could it because those people who are murdering, looting and burning down innocent peoples property are not left wing or right wing politically at all? Of course they aren't. They are hooligans not knowing what politics means and having "fun" on the streets anyway. They don't know what left or right wing means and don't care what so ever. It was scary to see from Gothenburg today were rioters smiling and laughing when they throw stones at the police from what was a very peacefully demonstration in the beginning. The demonstration only allowed 50 people to participate because of the Corona virus. About 2,000 came so the police had to separate the crowd later in the afternoon. And the rioters (the very few) got upset of course...

It is private property the unwashed masses don't get to tell the property owner what to do, unless you don't believe in private property.

But, if he did run. I would still vote FOR him and hopefully a good Vice President to replace him, if necessary. And not Blabbering Biden nor Disgusting Donald.

You might as well vote for 'Blabbering Biden' and hope for a good Vice President to replace him shortly after inauguration. I would consider this job quite life-shortening for a 78 year old, since I suspect Biden would not be content with golfing and Twitter. 7 days a week 12+ hours stress, meetings, and travel...

There is, for example, a Senator Murkowski in Alaska. Unfortunately, she is neither radical nor a Trump believer, which is why Trump announced a campaign to sweep her out. In such a climate, belief in private property and individual freedom alone do not help to resist radicalization. Truth, decency, transparency are required. Votes must be based on facts and voters must not be blinded by dubious campaigns (I call it propaganda). The press used to do this. But if e.g. a New York Times is regularly (unpunished) accused by DT of spreading fake news, while Fox News is praised for telling the truth... What percentage of voters then still base their vote on rational facts rather than propaganda? The Democrats' anti-propaganda is honest? No?
Voters shouldn't be caught between Scilla and Charybdis. ... maybe an honorable, credible opponent can be found somewhere, acceptable for followers of Dems and Reps...
