Well, that's his opinion of his city. Over in other cities they joined hands with the protesters and marched with them. Then everyone went home.

When you license hate of those you watch over, you get violence.

Finally I didn't know they asked political party affiliation on the booking form, so an assumption.

This is why The Marshall Project partnered with Slate to conduct the first-of-its-kind political survey inside prisons and jails across the country.
We heard from more than 8,000 people. Here’s what we found:
A plurality of white respondents back President Donald Trump, undercutting claims that people in prison would overwhelmingly vote for Democrats.

Too little too late?

Ambivalence?

Silent complicity?

Or just dumb ignorant knee-jerk reaction to protect profits?...

Facebook staff anger over Trump post
wrote:
... Mr Trump took to Facebook to repeat a tweet about the widespread protests in Minneapolis, following the death of George Floyd in police custody.

Twitter had placed a warning over the content, which it said "glorified violence", but [in contrast] Facebook said it did not violate its company policy.

Some staff said they were ‘ashamed’...

... The post remains untouched on Facebook after founder Mark Zuckerberg said it did not violate the company’s policy around incitement of violence...

... [Zuckerberg said] “I disagree strongly with how the President spoke about this, but I believe people should be able to see this for themselves because ultimately accountability for those in positions of power can only happen when their speech is scrutinized out in the open.”

"Silence is complicity"

Several employees expressed their frustration at the decision, on social media. “Facebook's inaction in taking down Trump's post inciting violence makes me ashamed to work here,”...

... Today, Facebook announced ...

"We stand against racism. We stand with our Black community - and all those working toward justice in honour of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and far too many others whose names will not be forgotten.⁣”...

So, Twitter adds a public health warning onto Trump's twittering, so he then moves his poisonous deadly 'game' to the more feeble Facebook. Note how very carefully Facebook has said nothing about Trump or Trump's postings...

Indeed, there are responsibilities and consequences. No one should consider themselves above others' lives and wellbeing...

Stay cool...

No different than the Right using their Social Media Platform's attempting to defeat their political enemies.

Both sides believe their views on certain issues are not only correct, but all other views are (fill-in the negatives) and must be silenced.

Yes, both the Left and Right are infected with a personal 'Belief Superiority' over the other and will never stop blabbering their personal attacks against those who they disagree with.

IE: If you disagree with them, you are personally attacked as being Racist, Sexist, Communist, KKK, et al.

The bigotry of both sides using an individuals race, gender, etc. as a negative attack against an individual: Young/Black/Male or Old/While/Man are both sick and evil.

As is always confirmed. Neither the Left, nor the Right, understand they are the same.

Hopefully, someday the blabbering Left and Right will not have control over our attempts to discuss different belief's about the issues.

Well I can see nothing good coming from v2.0's latest rant/speech. :-(

[edit] I'm also not so sure that his little walk has done much either.

And, as with the other's. Today's will also be, sometime in the future, forgotten.
Sadly, absolutely true. However, one thing won't be forgotten. Trump will sit alongside Nero in the history books - Fiddled while America suffered.

The 2nd wave will hit before he gets his 2nd term, which will ensure he is not forgotten & remembered as the POTUS that ruined America. That is if there as an America that far in the future.

... Maybe we should prepare right now, and say goodbye to each other, while we still can?

Hopefully there are saner heads interposed between Trump and the end-of-the-USA button of apocalypse?

Well it looks like Donny's little stun to pose outside the St John’s Episcopal church didn't go down well with many as well as religious leaders.

Bishop 'outraged' over Trump's church photo op during George Floyd protests.

It's seems that v2.0 is getting on more nerves.

Houston Police Chief to Donald Trump: 'Keep your mouth shut'.
“Let me just say this to the President of the United States on behalf of the police chief's in this country, please, if you don't have something constructive to say, keep your mouth shut because you're putting men and women in their early 20s at risk.”

“This is not about dominating. It's about winning hearts and minds. And let's be clear. We do not want people to confuse kindness with weakness.”

He spoke about the need for leadership, criticising Trump’s message of dominance instead calling for communities to “stand together”.

“We don't want ignorance to ruin what we've got here in Houston and speaking for my colleagues across the country where their officers are being injured, community members are being injured,” he said.

“It’s time to be presidential and not try to be like you're on The Apprentice. This is not Hollywood. This is real life, and real lives are at risk.”

Who would you propose as a Republican candidate for President, to replace Donald Trump in November 2020?

Why? Would you believe Trump should be replaced?

Replace Congress instead (and that will be accomplished on Nov 3rd).

And Biden could be replaced by a drooling Basset Hound without loss of function...........

I wasn't expressing a belief. I was asking Clyde, who had clearly expressed his view on the suitability of Donald Trump for the post he currently holds. And as an American citizen/voter, Clyde has skin in this game - I don't.

So you are saying that neither the Democratic party, nor the Republican party, contains a single individual who you would wish to vote for as President? That is indeed a worrying state of affairs, if widespread. Worrying for the world at large, not just the USA.

I'm unfamiliar with the finer details of the American voting system. I believe you have a 'write-in' process for certain elective posts - does that extend to the Presidential election?

So you are saying.......

....no, YOU are saying that.

I can think of three or four great American Patriots who would make a suitable if not excellent President.

Nikki Hailey
Candace Owens
Ben Carson
Mia Love

.....just a few who are 'in the wings' and will probably be candidates in 2024.

As for President Trump, he speaks his mind usually in a manner that has a tendency to upset people much too concerned about polite words and political correctness............

It isn't that he speaks his mind, it is that he acts his mind. If he had been in office on 9/11 his acting his mind would have been nuclear winter. His hide isn't thick enough and his impulse control isn't developed enough to be a leader.
Consider, he unleashed chemical warfare and beat peaceful people for a photo opportunity. Is such a person even fit to be dog catcher?

The DOJ supports its petition for writ of mandate with an explosive brief
By Andrea Widburg

It was highly unusual for the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals to order Judge Emmett Sullivan to explain his refusal to grant General Michael Flynn’s motion to dismiss. That made it easy to miss that it also allowed the Department of Justice the right to file a brief supporting its petition.

Sullivan filed his pathetic and dishonest brief on Monday. The DOJ’s brief, however, is filled with devastating facts and entirely on-point legal authority. What makes it even more compelling is its front page, which is weighted with the names of big guns. The DOJ is taking this matter very seriously.

You have to see the names on the DOJ’s brief to appreciate just how many people in the DOJ are paying very close attention to Flynn’s petition. (You can read the brief here.)

According to Sean Davis, having this many heavy-hitters on an appellate brief is almost unheard of
