Think of the USA as the European Union on steroids.
BTW: Because the Federal Government has complete authority over Foreign Policy. Many foreigner's, quite understandably, incorrectly believe this also applies inside this "Union of States".
Hmm.. So you mean that the United States of America doesn't have complete authority over US Foreign Policy. Meaning that some rogue state can have different foreign policies?
What do the Genius Trump think about that?

In our Constitution. The Federal Government, usually referred to as "Washington", has "complete authority" over the USA's Foreign Policy.

The question being can they delegate that authority to the states?

Thought so. But what you said to us outsiders was this.

I think even foreigners correctly knows that the US Federal Government has complete authority over Foreign Policy and that is applied inside "Union of States", eh, "United States".

Movimento Insieme (Movement Together) have much greater ambitions then changing names:)
https://movimentoinsieme.com/
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhgoS22Hg-g
Movimento Insieme is a pan-European Peoples’ State Movement having as its single objective the creation of the European Federal Union as a superpower of Peace, Liberty, Justice, Equality, Safety and Prosperity, both for the Europeans and for All of the World.
We, the peoples of Europe, have realized in a very painful way – being the financial crisis, the refugee crisis and the coronavirus crisis – that (a) the current EU institutions and the Member States have notoriously failed to deal with these situations effectively and efficiently, and, (b) the Member States’ governments will never progress the European integration agenda, as they consider federal integration as an existential threat to their own being.
Problem is of course that here in Europe we don't have a stable genius that could be a worthy President...

Virus Drug Controversy: Was Trump Right?
May 06, 2020 | Judicial Watch
https://www.judicialwatch.org/investigative-bulletin/virus-drug-controversy-was-trump-right/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=investigative_bulletin
Controversy continues to rage over President Trump’s advocacy of the malaria drug hydroxychloroquine (HC) to combat the coronavirus.........

....“I’ve been tracking HC treatment and outcomes all over the world,” writes a data analyst. “Long story short, HC-treated patients have a case fatality rate of 0.5% (5 out of 1000) whereas the worldwide rate is 6.9% (69 out of 1000). In other words, current evidence suggests you’re more than 12 times more likely to die if you are diagnosed with COVID 19 and you don’t get HC treatment.”

......Another reader directed us to an AP story about a Veterans Administration study that showed no benefit and increased deaths from HC. The VA quickly pushed back on the story. VA Secretary Robert Wilkie sent a letter to veterans’ organizations saying the VA study had led to “misinformation” about treatments at VA hospitals. Wilkie said HC was only given to patients at “highest risk” and noted that the Food and Drug Administration had approved HC for emergency use. (The FDA also issued a later warning that HC could lead to dangerous heart rhythm issues.)

.....In Turkey, the government has thrown HC at everyone with the virus—more than 117,000 cases. 3000 have died, but that’s lower than the global death rate, Turkish officials say. The “relatively low death toll is thanks to treatment protocols in the country, which involve two existing drugs—the controversial anti-malaria drug hydroxychloroquine touted by President Trump, and Japanese antiviral favipiravir,” CBS News reports.

“Doctors prescribe hydroxychloroquine to everyone who is tested positive for coronavirus,” a Turkish medical official told CBS. “Hospitalized patients may be given favipiravir as well if they encounter breathing problems.” The drug combination seemed to “delay or eliminate the need for intensive care for patients.”

The Turkish effort is not a clinical trial. It’s life in medical wartime.

All results are not in and won't be for many months or even years. But it appears that HC, in combination with other drugs (favipiravir, remdesivir, and Zinc) is a factor in shortening the course and lessening the severity of the disease.

Timing of the administration of the therapy would also appear to be a factor in the outcome of the patient(as was pointed out in a previous post detailing the life cycle of the virus and the points of greatest effect in interrupting the replication of the virus).

Trump doesn't know anything about health care. All he knows is about balance spreadsheets concerning money. A politician is not supposed to know details like choosing different remedies to Covid-19. Especially not touting which companies that should get funding's. If politics and greed would rule over science then you are dead meat!
The US have the FDA and NIAID to evaluate all the candidates and it works just fine.
So Mr Trump. Keep your silly mouth shut.

Hopefully, our knowledge regarding COVID-19 will increase at a faster and faster pace.
To what effect? Technology & medical science has greatly improved over the last century - BUT still no cure for the Flu, so what are you expecting from "this" faster pace?
With fools like Trump in control...

The increased knowledge of which treatments are really effective to reduce the infection rate, serious complications and deaths.
Is very, very, very important and should not be dismissed.
That's true. But be very careful.
"I also have to warn that there are opportunities for negative consequences or that some vaccines may increase the negative effect of the infection," said Dr. Anthony Fauci.

GOP senators release list of Obama officials, including Biden, who ‘unmasked’ Michael Flynn

I'll not quote anything from the article here, I'll save the bad news for the readers of the link......spoiler.....it goes all the way up to number 2(current Dim candidate for President) and the Chief of Staff at "The Big Desk".......

.....told ya'll to get the popcorn and open a beer, US Politics are about to get real nasty(if possible to be worse). In General Flynn's case I guess the adage "Revenge is a dish best served cold" applies.

You correctly stated that their was no "cure" for the flu.

I did not disagree.
Correct, but you did state this:
Is very, very, very important and should not be dismissed.
So who has dismissed that fact?
Trump with his drink bleach comment perhaps?

Well, I'm actually gobsmacked. A fool in the Oval Office & a "little" bug has shown the world that America is not so great after all.
I think history will show that Trump & Covid-19 was the deadliest combination ever.

BTW: If former President Obama, himself, is implicated in any criminal conspiracy or cover-up. Will President Trump, as did President Ford, pardon a former President?

BTW 2: Including a former Vice President?

BTW 1...........I'm guessing that's a hard negatory.......
BTW 2............Ditto.

On Flu vaccine being a 'cure', it's not intended as a cure but rather a prophylactic which I must say personally (and yes, I know this is anecdotal), I have been receiving the Flu shot since I was diagnosed as diabetic in 2004 each year. Prior to that time I used to come down with upper and lower respiratory problems every flu season, since 2004 I have not had any problems of that nature that could be attributed to flu. So as far as I'm personally concerned I believe flu vaccines can and do prevent much illness and I don't think there will be any difference with CV.

There will be a vaccine developed and it will be effective if used.

Those involved in Obamagate, and their parroting media puppets, are trembling in fear.

Rather, I think, trying to again sweep everything under the rug. I watched NBC Nightly News just now and nary a mention of the unmasking list revelations.

I hope, as with Nixon and Watergate, they will not succeed in their attempt to save themselves by diverting attention from their criminal acts.

Flynn is an admitted liar, stop trying to rewrite history.
