As with understanding "old" convictions and guilty plea's of innocents being reversed after many years in prison.
Again, which would you choose?
I would chose a Swedish prison or perhaps even better a Norwegian prison:) That maybe or not Flynn will "doing time" it's not the point and serve no purpose at all.

I would choose criminally charging those Federal Law Enforcement Officials who withheld exculpatory evidence from Flynn and his lawyer's.
Exculpatory? Oh dear. That's a word not so common to me:)
Exculpatory comes from the Latin word exculpat, meaning "freed from blame." The verb exculpate means to free from guilt or blame. Both words are used most often in a legal or technical sense rather than in everyday conversation — unless of course you're trying to show off.

Meanwhile v2.0 can't even make up his mind from 1 day to the next on how to handle this COVID-19 pandemic and more each day he showing all the signs of being a fish out of water with his flip flopping all over the place in a hope of finding water again.

But it hasn't stopped him spending time getting his just as crooked buddies off the hook.

So on your original list of choices, why wasn't that one of them?

Exculpatory evidence is evidence favorable to the defendant in a criminal trial that exonerates or tends to exonerate the defendant of guilt.
Fair enough. Works the same here. But in this case I think the evidences that anyone will present against or for Flynn are "classified" so we will never know.

Putin Wins
US to remove Patriots, other military assets from Saudi Arabia

Not at all.

Simply the USA has no need for excess oil at the moment and China is a bigger irritant than Iran for the moment...

The new problem will come when the oil producers demand world attention before they become irrelevant as the world drowns in oil...

All in our deadly greedy world,

Martin, the conquest of Iraq and Turkey has been on Russia's agenda since WWI. So they get a bonus of Saudi.

What the public is allowed to see. Is an interesting issue with possible National Security concerns.

But... Because neither Flynn. nor his lawyer's, had access to information used in the investigation.

This is a very, very, very serious issue regarding the ability of individual's to defend themselves against Government accusations.

Which appear's to have happened in this case.

Yes and Flynn is a self confessed liar.

Hmm. Indeed it is. But why did Flynn plead guilty in the first place? A question he has not have to reply of course. But it certainly raise questions... Did someone force him to do it?

He just cannot obey the rules, can he. It is reported in the WaPO that Trump is not allowed to live at his Southern "White House".

Trump wants to build a dock there, and has tried to sneak in an application while everybody is dealing with the pandemic, but
Digging into the catacombs of local records to build an argument against the dock, a small group of loosely aligned preservationists, disgruntled neighbors and attorneys have unearthed documents that they assert call into question the legality of Trump’s much-publicized decision late last year to change his official domicile from Manhattan to Mar-a-Lago and to register to vote in Florida using the club’s address. According to those documents, and additional materials obtained by The Washington Post, Trump agreed in writing years ago to change the use of the Mar-a-Lago property from a single-family residence to a private club owned by a corporation he controls.

The distinction is significant. The property is taxed as a private club — not as a residence, according to Palm Beach County property appraiser records. Trump’s own attorney assured local officials in Palm Beach before they voted to approve the club in 1993 that he would not live there. Mar-a-Lago’s website says only that Trump maintains “private quarters” at the club.

He is only allowed to live in the “private quarters” up to four times a year, each visit can be for seven days max, and visits must not be consecutive.

But why did Flynn plead guilty in the first place?

Ask yourself, if you had just gone through days of interrogation, had your words twisted by the interrogators, spent millions of dollars on legal defense(bankrupting yourself), and then been presented with the possibility that your son and his family would also be interrogated, charged and probably bankrupted, UNLESS you plead guilty to, literally, 'Trumped' up charges, what would you do?

Why? Plain and simple blackmail.

Will Michael Flynn Plead Guilty And Cooperate To Protect His Son?

With Special Counsel Robert Mueller expected to indict both Michael T. Flynn, President Donald Trump’s former national security adviser, and Flynn’s son, Michael G. Flynn, in connection with the investigation into Russia’s intervention in the 2016 election, speculation is mounting as to whether the elder Flynn will plead guilty to help his son, and in the process help himself. The elder Flynn’s lawyers recently stopped communicating with the President’s legal defense team, which some interpret as Flynn preparing to cooperate with Mueller. While Flynn certainly is focused on his own potential liability, that his son is a “subject” of the investigation places the elder Flynn in the difficult position of cooperating and accepting criminal culpability, rather than fight, in order possibly to prevent his son from being prosecuted.

Please note specifically the date of this article............the answer to your question has been known for 2 1/2 years.

Flynn did it, he knew he did it, we knew he did it, he admitted it because he is guilty.
If Barr drops prosecution, Trump does not have to pardon Flynn, thereby not
sullying Trump prior to the election. Criminals doing criminal things.

Nice theory, almost of the quality of machinations used by the Federal Bureau of Intimidation.
