Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that Rep., Rep., and Rep.? And the Electoral College ensures that vote by a Wyoming voter carries about 4x the weight of a New York voter. I wonder which party each is more likely to prefer... hmm. As with Britain, we're really no better with our British-derived parliamentary system. Our current prime minister, Justin Trudeau (Liberal), in 2019 lost the popular vote 6,018,728 to Andrew Scheer's (Conservative) 6,239,227. But because he won more seats in parliament, he's now the prime minister and Scheer resigned as leader of the official opposition. I would prefer that MPs and the Prime Minister were voted for separately so that simply the candidate with the most votes won.

The last three presidents to lose the popular vote but still win the presidency through the Electoral College are Donald Trump (2016), George W. Bush (2000) and then we have to go all the way back to Benjamin Harrison (1888).Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that Rep., Rep., and Rep.? Gerrymandering wins! The Conservative Party in the UK wanted to redraw the boundaries while they were in power, too, but Brexit got in the way. |

Majority of popular vote can be meaningless in the USA.It can be meaningless in the UK, too. You count the number of Electoral College votes: we count the number of MPs (Members of Parliament) elected. Same difference. |

Remember "Bill" Clinton. Who became President after receiving only 43% of the nationwide popular vote in 1992. This isn't applicable, as Bill Clinton did win the popular vote with 44,909,889 to George H.W. Bush's 39,104,550. It wasn't half or more of all voters, but the issue with the Electoral College isn't this, but simply that the candidate with the most votes doesn't necessarily win. The last three presidents to lose the popular vote but still win the presidency through the Electoral College are Donald Trump (2016), George W. Bush (2000) and then we have to go all the way back to Benjamin Harrison (1888).

Is ... Biden really the best Democrat to defeat Trump? We in the UK have just road-tested that storyboard. After three years of sounding him out, we failed to elect Jeremy Corbyn by a large majority, and got Boris Johnson instead. 'nuff said. Majority of popular vote can be meaningless in the USA. In the USA, the President is elected by the States (Electoral College), following the wishes of their voter's. Not a nationwide popular vote. Remember "Bill" Clinton. Who became President after receiving only 43% of the nationwide popular vote in 1992. Add to the presumptive Democrat nominee: Bigoted attack against Black voter's, lying about NAACP endorsement's of him and brain addled Biden running against Disgusting Donald this November. That Bigot Biden also said that “poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids,” https://www.nytimes.com/2019/08/09/us/politics/joe-biden-poor-kids.html Is bigoted and brain addled Biden really the best Democrat to defeat Trump? If so, the Democrat Party is living in a politically suicidal universe and Trump is correctly laughing all the way. Of course, if the Democrat's lose this November. Some in the Left Wing of the Democrat Party will say that it is the American voter's who are (fill-in the negatives). But they will be really exposing their sick and hate filled belief about what they believe to be the "Inferior People". An Inferior People who must bow before their Superior Master's and their power. Which is the foundation of the belief's of both the evil Left and evil Right. Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it. --- George Santayana Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely. --- Lord Acton |

Well it looks like v2.0 is pushing for another vector to spread his love throughout the states. Behind Trump’s demand to reopen churches: Slipping poll numbers and alarm inside his campaign. It seems that he's not impressed enough with the spread caused by his "spread the virus" fools. But things are getting thornier within the party. Sessions claps back at Trump: ‘You’re damn fortunate’ I recused from Russia probe. |

I seem to remember similarly confident pronouncements about the certainty of a certain Ms. Clinton... Correct. Now with the presumptive Democrat nominee: Bigoted attack against Black voter's, lying about NAACP endorsement's of him and brain addled Biden running against Disgusting Donald this November. I believe that their Presidential debates and their babbling and accusations during the debates. Will be studied and laughed about for decades to come. Yes, we will survive whoever wins. As we have survived Benjamin Harrison, Chester A. Arthur, Herbert Hoover, John Tyler, Millard Fillmore, James Buchanan, Richard Nixon, "Jimmy" Carter and other's in the past. Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it. --- George Santayana Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely. --- Lord Acton |

Swedish Foreign Minister Ann Lindes statement on the US message on Twitter. In abandoning the Open Skies Treaty, the Trump Administration is not just renouncing an arms control agreement that was seen as essential for transparency during the Cold War years, but he is also ditching an agreement that many experts believe still retains huge benefits for the US.So much for National Security Donald |

Well, regardless of nationality, Covid-19 is seriously exposing many flaws within the system. In the past, job losses have mainly been at bottom level but now seeing those at middle levels being cut. Don't see much dross being cut at top level. One thing about Covid-19, it hits at any level. Something those at the top should think about. |

What was it that "The Donald" stated he would do? "Make America Great Again" What a turnaround! In an appearance on the Fox News channel, US President Donald Trump shrugged off the 20.5 million jobs lost in the US as "totally expected" and "no surprise".However, he had to get a soundbite in... What I can do is I can bring it back," he said as the figures were released....America waits in anticipation as to how & when. :-) |

The cause of the ongoing destruction of the WORLD'S economy was biological attack by the Chinese Communist Party.Sheer B/S. And AMERICA will, on November 3rd, give The President 4 more years to torment the vacant intellects of Dim leadership(those few that are left after the cleansing elections).Yep & ignore all his advisors when Covid-19 turns into a seasonal epidemic with 500,000 dead over those 4 years because "The Donald" kept America open. If that happens, just make sure you Yanks stay, if not in your homes, on your continent. |

And then there are yet some that just want to believe that it is so and disregard the actual true facts. :-(America is going to hang it on King Donald and rightly so.The cause of the ongoing destruction of the WORLD'S economy was biological attack by the Chinese Communist Party. |
