But people took it that way, and now there is no stocks for the people that actually need them for the purpose they were originally designed.

What an asinine argument. Who cares who's at fault, what matters is getting the nation & its people & economy back on a safe & healthy footing.

Message 2040023 - Posted: 24 Mar 2020, 1:35:31 UTC - in response to Message 2039977.

When Senate Democrats, who have argued Republicans are prioritizing corporate industry over American workers in the legislation, lined up against an earlier procedural vote to advance the bill Sunday it underscored a tense divide between Republicans and Democrats as the country grapples with the impact of coronavirus and raised fresh uncertainty over whether and when lawmakers will strike a bipartisan deal.
And that's the part that most of the world can't understand, why are the Reps only looking after 1 end of the economy at the cost of the other? Will it hurt them that much to look after the workers as well?

To have a balanced economy both ends of the stick need support, not just 1.

You forget Rep's are 100% me me me me me me me me me me me me me a single monotone of greed and gluttony.

They can't even think that if there are no customers, they won't be able to make money. How can we grab more in the next ten seconds!

Los Angeles Times and Bloomberg News: Federal stockpile of N95 masks was depleted under Obama and never restocked
by Emma Colton

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/los-angeles-times-and-bloomberg-news-federal-stockpile-of-n95-masks-was-depleted-under-obama-and-never-restocked?fbclid=IwAR0a9ABsyYp1DFhHrRv8P4Vpwaxgj2zDUFmPcevOuNo7HnAD31FHdUAwzTc
"The national shortage of N95 respirator masks can be traced back to 2009 after the H1N1 swine flu pandemic, when the Obama administration was advised to replenish a national stockpile but did not, according to reports from Bloomberg News and the Los Angeles Times.

The Trump administration is scrambling to replenish a stockpile of protective medical gear for healthcare workers and patients as the coronavirus sweeps across the nation. N95 respirator masks are one of the most needed medical supplies amid the outbreak."

Just got back from the Doc. Heard how the Rump, GOP, wealthy criminal element is to blame.
Seems doc ordered test kits a month ago. Haven't showed up yet. But Beverly Hills doc got 5X the number doc ordered. {wonder how money gets it and a geriatrics doc doesn't}
Beverly Hills sells the kits to sports teams at a profit so that healthy people can be tested.

What a waste of a precious resource. Hope Beverly Hills doc loses license.

Don't ever forget the GOP is monotone me me me me me me me me me me ...

It is not the USA or its military anymore, but Italy who transmitted the COVID 19 virus to China and the rest of the world
Not really. That's China infodemics. China has translated an article by NPR that was translated from English to Chinese by Chinese state media CCTV and posted on Weibo, a Chinese microblogging site, with the hashtag #expert that says the coronavirus might have started circulating in Italy last November.
https://twitter.com/globaltimesnews/status/1241559268190343168
https://www.npr.org/2020/03/19/817974987/every-single-individual-must-stay-home-italy-s-coronavirus-deaths-pass-china-s
Other countries can learn important lessons from Italy, says Dr. Giuseppe Remuzzi, co-author of a recent paper in The Lancet about the country's dire situation.
Some question why Italy was caught off guard when the virus outbreak was revealed on Feb. 21.
Remuzzi says he is now hearing information about it from general practitioners. "They remember having seen very strange pneumonia, very severe, particularly in old people in December and even November," he says. "This means that the virus was circulating, at least in Lombardy and before we were aware of this outbreak occurring in China."
But China is nevertheless still blaming the US for the corona virus in an article from today.

Yes, in addition to China widely transmitted one doctor's comment in its continuous blaming all others.
Not only China blame others.
Defense Minister Peter Hultqvist warns that foreign powers are deliberately spreading disinformation about how Sweden handles the corona virus. Above all, he points out Azerbaijan, Russia and China.
"There are several fulsome examples", he says.

For a timeline for the COVID19 disease propagation, note this for Wuhan:

Li Wenliang: Coronavirus death of Wuhan doctor sparks anger
wrote:
The death of a Chinese doctor who tried to warn about the coronavirus outbreak has sparked widespread public anger and grief in China.

Li Wenliang died after contracting the virus while treating patients in Wuhan.

Last December he sent a message to fellow medics warning of a virus he thought looked like Sars - another deadly coronavirus...

Also, there is indeed some sickening misinformation being spread on social media.

Can we keep with the real facts on this thread please?

Note also that there is the Ebola and Infectious diseases, Food & Drugs, Studies, Recalls #6 thread that is a better fit for discussing COVID.

Stay safe folks!

There is a vast Center that is neither Left nor Right.

Sorry, another confirmation regarding the Left's and Right's similar belief's about those not THEM.

Presidentially simply simple and simply damning:

Coronavirus: What this crisis reveals about US - and its president
wrote:
... Instead, all the hallmarks of his presidency have been on agitated display. The ridiculous boasts - he has awarded himself a 10 out of 10 for his handling of the crisis. The politicisation of what should be the apolitical - he toured the Centers for Disease Control wearing a campaign cap emblazoned with the slogan "Keep America Great".

The mind-bending truth-twisting - he now claims to have fully appreciated the scale of the pandemic early on, despite dismissing and downplaying the threat for weeks. The attacks on the "fake news" media, including a particularly vicious assault on a White House reporter who asked what was his message to frightened Americans: "I tell them you are a terrible reporter." His pettiness and peevishness - mocking Senator Mitt Romney, the only Republican who voted at the end of the impeachment trial for his removal from office, for going into isolation.

His continued attacks on government institutions in the forefront of confronting the crisis - "the Deep State Department" is how he described the State Department from his presidential podium the morning after it issued its most extreme travel advisory urging Americans to refrain from all international travel. His obsession with ratings, or in this instance, confirmed case numbers - he stopped a cruise ship docking on the West Coast, noting: "I like the numbers where they are. I don't need to have the numbers double because of one ship that wasn't our fault." His compulsion for hype - declaring the combination of hydroxycholoroquine and azithromycin "one of the biggest game-changers in the history of medicine," even as medical officials warn against offering false hope.

His lack of empathy. Rather than soothing words for relatives of those who have died, or words of encouragement and appreciation for those in the medical trenches, Trump's daily White House briefings commonly start with a shower of self-congratulation. After Trump has spoken, Mike Pence, his loyal deputy, usually delivers a paean of praise to the president in that Pyongyang-on-the-Potomac style he has perfected over the past three years. Trump's narcissistic hunger for adoration seems impossible to sate...

"KEEP AMERICA GREAT" 'onna' baseball cap 'onna' president?! At least he's put it on so the great words can be seen on TV...

In my humble opinion and observation, simply disgusting. No way to run any country.

Disgusted.

All in our only one world,
Martin
