Really...? We may yet get slimed a little less by the food industrial Marketing: Obesity: Unhealthy 'buy one get one free' deals targeted wrote: "Buy one get one free" deals on unhealthy food will be banned as part of the government's bid to tackle obesity in England. The plan also includes restrictions on where foods high in fat and sugar can be promoted in-store, and new rules for displaying calories on menus. Stay healthy! Stay safe!! A ban on junk food adverts before 21:00 has been confirmed - for the whole UK... Blatant government censorship. It's 2020 isn't it? |

Is censorship needed against misleading advertising and egregiously profitable 'business practices'? Or should we have better education and a better health for all?... Read for yourselves: 'Ultra-Processed' Junk Food Linked to Advanced Ageing at Cellular Level wrote: People who eat a lot of industrially processed junk food are more likely to exhibit a change in their chromosomes linked to ageing... Would you believe it for the extreme adulteration of innocent food: Subway rolls ruled too sugary to be bread in Ireland wrote: The rolls used in Subway's hot sandwiches contain too much sugar to be considered bread, according to Ireland's Supreme Court ... the court ruled that because of the level of sugar in the rolls they cannot be taxed as bread, which is classed as a "staple product" with zero VAT... Sheeesh! By 'eck!!! 10% sugar!!! Is that supposed to be bread?! Or is that some bastardization of candy cake? Whichever! That is nothing like my fine home made bread that has one tea-spoon of sugar (a few grams) to feed the yeast for a 1kg loaf of bread... Stay healthy... Stay safe! Who is getting slimed with this geoengineering expansion? The Greenhouses of Almeria: The Garden of Europe https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jBeua3KYL3I&lc=Ugz3VpTD3B9I19ngstJ4AaABAg wrote: My father's family lives there and have worked in and owned greenhouses since the 80s. Your video is quite accurate. Also in underscoring how problems, enviromental and social, are so hard to address. The economic forces are simply too strong. Nobody in this system has really much of a choice. Anyways, outside this megastructure, Almeria is actually a nice place to be! All for whose greedy profits? All blindly at the cost of everyone and everything else?... That whole angle, about the fast food industry being malevolent, is just a bunch of BS. There is nothing wrong with fast food, if consumed in moderation. If somebody chooses to gorge themselves on it, OF COURSE they are going to gain weight. It's high calorie food. That comes down to their emotional problems and lack of self worth and lack of constraint. You can get fat on Ramen Noodles, if you choose to eat enough of it. Unless you are advocating that the government regulate what you are allowed to eat every day. Calorie tickets required at the grocery store? It's just another case of the liberal mindset always looking for someone else to blame for their own self inflicted troubles. Oh, and you mind handing me that bucket of KFC there? Not all ills are the result of the "liberal mind set". Let's face it fast food is fed to the masses by a very limited number of large corporations, who make their money by buying food as cheaply as possible and selling it at inflated prices on just about every main street in the USA, all too often driving the little local mom & pop decent food places to the wall. And that principal is not a liberal one, but one of the right. Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Not all ills are the result of the "liberal mind set". That is a principle of open competition. The strongest win, sometimes unfortunately. Not saying I agree with it, but you seem to prefer communism to the free market. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

That is a principle of open competition. A very clear explanation of one of the keystones of "right wing" philosophy. Not saying I agree with it, but you seem to prefer communism to the free market. You make assumptions without any idea of where people's political allegiances lie. I would say that you have never "debated" with any real communists as you don't understand what they actually believe but make some assumptions based on a zero knowledge base and get it very wrong. The strongest win, sometimes unfortunately. So bullies win. Explains the GOP. Not really. But it DOES explain all the actions of Big Tech and left wing media perfectly. They think they can control everything. But truth is spinning out of their control. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

Just put a delivery order in with McD. Yummmy quarter pounder with cheeses. Two of them, thank you very much. And many extra fries. Extra chemicals and onions, please. Hold the mayo, that stuff will kill ya. Gotta luv the fries for extra luv for Mc D's. It is the highest profit item on their menu, of course. And with extra chemicals, it's a perfect add-on for the heart clogging burger fats. Oh, I luv McD's. Meow. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

And the Subway "bread" has so much (sweet addiction inducing) added sugar that it is better described as cake or biscuit! See earlier on this thread... For myself, I haven't been in a McD or Subway since some years ago since finding out about what I see as their very unhealthy dubious ways... All in our deadly greedy world... The more I read about the fast food industry and their "offerings" the more I'm glad that I do my best to avoid the big chains as far as possible. This was much to the surprise of colleagues from China who were under the impression that everyone in the west only ate McD and the like. The more I read about the fast food industry and their "offerings" the more I'm glad that I do my best to avoid the big chains as far as possible... As I've personally seen, as part of those 'offerings', it isn't only the customers/consumers that are 'short changed' for the offerings: McDonald's CEO Admits They'd Do "Fine" with Higher Wages How minimum is the minimum wage?... How much greedy slime?? But then, that is all merely my personal opinion as always...
