Just a FYI that Vitalii (our Linux developer) has created a new detect structure for the "on-battery" detection scheme in the hostinfo_unix.cpp module using the upower function as I suggested. The new code is in pull #3425 +1 A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association). |

Can we somehow manually merge it in existing Boinc version (if yes, how?) or we have to wait for new Boinc version? |

Yes, you can take the merge pull code: https://github.com/BOINC/boinc/pull/3425/commits/8b0de9a07fd9d6e709469ab7d67fc58024ade06c and merge it into the existing hostinfo_unix.cpp file in /client directory and then recompile the client to use it. Or just wait till the pull get merged and then grab the latest 7.16.x development branch and compile the new client.
