Anybody else seeing a lot of pendings validate in the last 24 hours? My pendings have barely changed, but I have had a huge spike in RAC today. Edit- and yesterday too. Interestingly, the Haveland Graphs are showing a steady (apart from the now regular Sunday outage) & significant increase in the number of results awaiting validation. Grant Darwin NT |

That seems to be an error on FreeDC. It doesn’t line up with points earned and BOINC Stats does not show the same spike. Seti@Home classic workunits: 29,492 CPU time: 134,419 hours |

BoincStats is showing a huge minus 754K task report for me today. Somebody glitched somewhere. Seti@Home classic workunits:20,676 CPU time:74,226 hours A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association) |

BoincStats is showing a huge minus 754K task report for me today. Somebody glitched somewhere. where do you see that? I looked at your BoincStats data and it looks pretty normal to me. I don't see any negative values. Seti@Home classic workunits: 29,492 CPU time: 134,419 hours |

It was on the projects list page for Setiathome project. Isn't there now. Seti@Home classic workunits:20,676 CPU time:74,226 hours A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association) |

Gentlemen... I have been watching with an eagerness to see what each of you have for pending tasks and I do have yet another dumb question. I understand that the "wingman" is sent our tasks to verify them, but I don't know how to find out who, or what number of wingmen my tasks are being sent to. How do I find out, or where is my wingman? George |

I understand that the "wingman" is sent our tasks to verify them, but I don't know how to find out who, or what number of wingmen my tasks are being sent to. when viewing any category of tasks from your Task List (Valid, Pending, Inconclusive, etc) you will see a column labelled "Workunit", click that and it will show you all hosts that have been sent that WU and their dispositions. Thank you Ian&Steve C. For clarification, when I do what you indicated and then click on "computer" I will see that individual's computer and what they're working with. Thanks again. George |

Using my account as an example - here's a link to the tasks list: https://setiathome.berkeley.edu/results.php?userid=226846 So, if I click on the current task at the top of the list I go to: https://setiathome.berkeley.edu/result.php?resultid=8134237354 Which are the details for that task But if I click on the work unit: https://setiathome.berkeley.edu/workunit.php?wuid=3693472950 you see the computers this work unit (number 3693472950) has been sent to. This work unit has only been sent to two people, being a "nice fresh" one. You can do much the same for each of "pending", "valid", "inconclusive" or "error" sub-sets of tasks. I have 2 units both from July 13 , It looks like both units were sent send twice to people who signed up but never did a single work unit. Bob Sometimes I wonder, what happened to all the people I gave directions to? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SETI@home classic workunits 4,321 SETI@home classic CPU time 22,169 hours |

My 4th wingman finally polished off my very late May 6 hanger on task. Now the latest is 30 June. Seti@Home classic workunits:20,676 CPU time:74,226 hours A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association) |

I have 2 units both from July 13 , It looks like both units were sent send twice to people who signed up but never did a single work unit. Can happen. I might sign a rebuilt PC into Seti to do a "burn in" test. Let it run 100% over the weekend. If it handles that, I'll say it's all fixed. Come Sunday night I set no new tasks, detach in the morning and it's done ~100 work units. I could run some pointless stress test / benchmark, but Seti is "real world" and useful work. Now if it turns out the hard disk is actually flaky and it crashed at 11 pm pm on Friday, then sorry the WU's are lost, have to time out, and get resent. And that PC needs more work. |

Well, i'll most certainly loose the "oldest pending" contest since I've only recently returned, but my number of pendings just keeps climbing and climbing. Anyway, thanks all for the information as I'm still trying to figure all this out as I go and you folks are sure making it easy =) |

Well, i'll most certainly loose the "oldest pending" contest since I've only recently returned, but my number of pendings just keeps climbing and climbing. The longer it takes you to return work, the lower your Pendings will be as (usually) your wingman will have already returned their result & so the WU will (usually) Validate almost straight away. The faster you return work, the higher your Pendings will be as you'll be waiting on your slower wingman to return their work. Grant Darwin NT |

It's just something I been watching and seemed to fit in this thread. I'm doing what I can to help and that's what matters to me. It's nice to be able to help. |
