I switched back to 18.04 after realizing my new AMD Radeon RX 580 pro drivers, which I was lead to believe I needed to get BOINC to use the GPU required. Anyway went back to 18.04. Downloaded and installed the pro drivers with the script like it said to. Installed BOINC out of the Software manager and ran it, and it still doesn't detect my ATI Radeon gpu. On my computer page on the setiathome it doesn't list any GPU. Maybe this has been discussed in here, I've been looking for it but not seeing an answer. Everything works great in Windows but I can't get BOINC to detect my GPU in Ubuntu.

Thanks for any help.

For the Pro drivers, your command line install should be:
 ./amdgpu-pro-install --opencl=legacy
or --opencl=pal,legacy

That appears to have fixed it. The first time I just did the ./amdgpu-pro-install -y so you have to do the --opencl=legacy

Thanks
