Still don't understand the "hijacking" accusation of the very broad Profits 1st, Safety 2nd? Pt 2 topic.Answers both of your questions. The thread IS NOT called Boeing's "stick whatever in this bit". It is as you said a very broad topic so the Spark./Ovo Energy question is very valid. No deaths directly linked to their deplorable antics is known at this time but they do endanger the safety of their customers with regards to their sanity/mental health & as seen elsewhere the possibility of suicide . As Gary rightly points out & done so for some time, fiduciary duty does take precedence. The question is just how far does that precedence be allowed to proceed? Edit: just seen this - Cancelling leagues, promotions, relegations is just not feasible because when this virus passes and normal life resumes that will just be a lot of lawsuits.Money, Money, Money Must be funny in a virulent world. |

Unfortunately, as with the Politics : Ebola and Infectious diseases, Food & Drugs, Studies, Recalls #6 topic.Constant post after post from one source can be considered "hijacking" rather than the ability to accept what is posted. Then again it can also be considered to be a "fixation". |

I'm going to post a Boeing story. FAA is probing how a 12-inch crack occurred in Southwest jet DALLAS (AP) — Federal officials said Friday they are investigating after a crack ruptured the skin on a Boeing 737 jet operated by Southwest Airlines, causing the plane to gradually lose cabin pressure. |

Then again it can also be considered to be a "fixation". I believe the word concept you are looking for is "scrolling." In any case the constant repetition of essentially the same material, ad nauseam, disrupts the flow of the thread and the ability of others to be heard. |

There is now a Boeing specific thread so as to no longer swamp this thread. And thanks to Sirius for prompting some lively discussion! Here's hoping we can promote something a little better for our world... All in our deadly greedy world! It doesn't take many large stock holders to sell their stock to cause a more general, panic driven, sell-off of stock. I'm sure that a large proportion of the drop we are seeing is the result of poorly damped automated selling, which sends the boards red, which panics the traders into selling..... Wealthy companies can make millions selling ships for demolition, but Javesh and Naveen are only paid about 35p an hour.Breaking Bad Well, it is a world where it's profits 1st. Also, wonder what dear Greta would have to say about that. |

Over the years environmental and health campaigners have had a few successes in getting ships turned away from being hacked to bits on the Indian & Bangladesh foreshores to more environmentally and safety aware breakers yards in Europe and the North America. But for every ship that has been turned around there are tens if not hundreds more that make it to their final point of death and destruction. Do I see Switzerland in that list of shame - aren't they landlocked!!!! Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |
