I was wondering how long it takes for my completed tasks to get validated and if there is anything I can do to speed up that process

a) Anything between seconds and several months. Your tasks are validated by being compared with results from other users. If yours is the first - you have to wait. If others beat you to it, and the results check out - the reward is instant. Sometimes, your partners go AWOL, and you have to wait for someone new to complete the work. Sometimes the results disagree, and one (or more) tie-breakers have to be pressed into service.
