i'm running SETi@HOME on my Google Pixel 2 XL phone whenever it's at the charging ... not very much calculating power, but every little bit helps ;-)

Now I've just updated to Android 10, and it looks like BOINC/SETI is broken now. Each workunit tells me "calculation error" with exactly ZERO work done on it, and BOINC tells me that it's doin' nothing and it's waiting for new work.

Terminating the workunits results in nothing at all.

Any hint ?

I see this is a 64bit CPU with a 64bit Android, so the previous problem of running a 32bit Android on a 64bit CPU doesn't count here. Something else is broken, so I have emailed the Seti admin about this. All you can do is set No new tasks and retire the phone until Seti releases new apps that can do work on A10. I wouldn't hold my breath though that this will happen any time soon.

I joined in SETI@HOME a few days ago.Now I just run this program on my computer, but I just saw that there are also programs for Android phones.So I wonder maybe I can run it on my phone as well. But here is the problem, I don’t quite know how to do it on the phone. Is there an APP that I can download on my phone and run like what I do on my computer or something else?If there is an App, what’s its name?
Hope you can help me.

The app is called "BOINC", but see the words of caution from Jord in this thread about running on recent versions of Android.

It took me a while last night to download this App, and the calculation error happens, unsurprisingly. Hope they can solve this.
