Message 2011677 - Posted: 12 Sep 2019, 2:52:59 UTC

I get the above error when I try to install the key with "boinccmd --project_attach http://setiathome.berkeley.edu account_key"

Any suggestions?

The error is nothing to do with the key - that's going to be fine.

The authorization referred to is that boinccmd isn't authorized to control the client. You probably have a password set in gui_rpc_auth.cfg: add that password to your boinccmd line with -p password or --passwd password. See Boinccmd tool.

Thanks for the reply.

I checked the indicated file and it is blank. Could it be a permissions issue?
