Hi I am having a problem with seti downloading work units . I have seti in the Transfers tab on Boinc but it just sits there and will not download . It always defers for some minutes then project backoff for more minutes . this has been happening for over a month now and I cant find out why. I have removed and reinstalled seti I have reset the project but nothing seems to get it to complete downloading ... is there something that i am not finding ? thanks ID: 2010404 ·  |

Firewall? VPN? Using a proxy? Corporate firewall? According to your task list, you have at least one tasks that made it, one aborted and two further abandoned. The latter can happen when your computer doesn't acknowledge that work it got sent actually arrived. Hi thanks for the reply , I found that it was indeed my VPN . I figured this out before I read this reply and was going to report back on my findings . I have whitelisted setiathome.berkeley.edu on the vpn site so I am soo hoping that this will fix my problem , If not I will just manually reset my vpn till there is a fix from the vpn provider which they are working on for broken apps where they can bypass and directly connect . thanks ID: 2011638 · |
